Lol! He is so easy to get in Franchise mode. So easy, in fact, it feels like an integrity issue by signing him. But that still didn't stop me from picking him up

By the way, thanks for all the info. I am going to change my season 2 sliders to default and move up to HOF!

Good luck. Dont get discouraged if you start slow or hot. It will balance out. I am currently on a huge cold spell.

Sadly they'll probably give you him for a bag of balls.
In one franchise I was playing the Nats traded Livan Hernandez (who was pitching well a the time), A "C" Closer prospect and Bryce Harper to San Diego for a 26 year old "C" 3B. The Guy San Diego sent was "A" Potential, but it still made zero since - since Wash. has Zimmerman at 3B who is also 26 and signed to a 3 year deal. (Don't see the FacePalm smilie or else I'd be using him here lol)

Scott Moore a HUGE 3 run HR in the 10th to get the W. Marmol has been lights out so far this season. Randy Wells continues to struggle also. Castro went 3-5 in his AAA debut with an RBI. Also an AA pitcher of mine, Wallach hit his first career HR. Just a couple updates.

Re: HOF "the right way"

I don't know how you do it as far as hitting. I got 5 the first game and back-to-back 1 hit games. I got a .094 average in the series vs Arizona. I started with timing but compared to MLB 2k11, it was tough to utell where outside the zone is so I went to zone hitting and I feel that made it impossible. I got no-hit in 2 regular season games, so I started over and was no-hit by the entire Diamondbacks staff in spring training. I saw that I had the thing underneath it off, so I guess you need to move a circle around to hit the ball. Anyways, I went back to timing.

What else do you do? What about guess pitch? I went with "no feedback" because at first I felt feedback was screwing me up, causing me to swing at pitches outside the zone because the thing goes red and starts vibrating.

Note:I use button push hitting.

Pitching is great. I can throw strikeouts which I couldn't do at all on the hard levels on MLB 2k11 or 2k10 for that matter. I use analog so if I start missing my spots, it gets ugly but I like it like that. As long as I can throw strikeouts I'm happy.

I use no guess pitch. I usually take til a strike except for my power guys. Keep practicing.

Won the series with the Dodgers with a 5-3 win in 10 innings again. 15-16 now on the year with a tough May schedule coming up. Reds, Cards, Giants, Marlins, Reds, BoSox, Mets...wow

Back to .500! Wasn't easy and the bats haven't completely came back but we are getting the job done. 16-16 after a big 2-1 win over the Reds. Big Z h as been amazing this year.

One more question and this goes for timing. Do you touch the left joystick while you hit? From the 2k series you point the stick left, middle, right to try to hit on those sides of the field. I haven't seen anything about The Show that says this is necessary except to move the circle on Zone hitting.

Nope. Just buttons. No sticks.

X for normal swing. O for contact swing (which I like to use with 2 strikes a lot and also in runner advancement situations), and [] for power swing (which I maybe use 4 times a game...either in hitter's counts or first pitches).

A lot of factors determine the PCI placement, but mostly, it boils down to ratings.

Thanks a lot! I've been using contact swing 90% of the time. Especially with my low power guys. I had no idea there was a button for normal swing. I think there is my problem right there. Gonna fire up The Show and try it out.

Those are my settings I use. Also, I just dropped the last game to the Reds. Won 2 of 3 from them to push back to 17-17 on the year. I am in 3rd place in the NL Central and the hitting is slowly coming back.

Also, if y'all want to post updates on your dynasties here, go right ahead. I love reading how people are doing using this method. I can help with what I can to help you get to the point you need to be. I think All-Star would work with your skills. Same with Legend, and same with Veteran. The great thing is it just depends on how good you are at the game. Test and see what fits your skill levels.
