I really dont have time man.....I'm trying to get through a season and don't have time to play meaningless games with sliders that I'm not going to actually use.

                TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

ATLANTA BRAVES @ BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #72 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Tim Hudson vs. Josh Beckett)

                * The Braves even up the series with a 4-1 victory and the teams will play the rubber match tomorrow with Mike Minor and Clay Buchholz set to take the mound in the series finale to wrap up interleague play for the season

                * Tim Hudson was outstanding for Atlanta as he went 8 innings and allowed just one run. The Red Sox hit several balls hard that were either caught at the warning track or hit right at Braves players in the field.

                * Josh Beckett got tagged for 3 runs in the 1st inning but bounced back nicely to give his team 7 innings of work on the mound.

                * Ryan Sweeney was 2 for 3 and is now 6 for 7 in the 1st two games of this series.

                * The Red Sox sent OF Darnell McDonald down to AAA Pawtucket and called up OF Ryan Kalish

TNK, just curious as to how many k's and bb's you're averaging as a hitter. The mlb average is around 7 and 3. I've seen a few of your box scores and don't see a whole lot of walks and I haven't had a great deal of success in drawing walks. It seems that even if the cpu gets to a 3-0 count they come back with 3 straight strikes.

It's a combination of the game and impataience as a hitter......I have games where I draw 5 walks or more....I have games where I draw 1....I have games where I K 10+ times and I have games where I K twice.

It's never going to be perfect

Hi, sorry if this has already been answered but do these sliders work with zone plus analog hitting and pulse pitching and which sliders are the ones to use the one with the most DL's or the one underneath it.

They will work, but they are designed to be played with ZONE HITTING AND METER PITCHING

ATLANTA BRAVES @ BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #73 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Mike Minor vs. Clay Buchholz)

                          * The Braves get a great pitching performance for the second day in a row as Mike Minor took a shutout into the 8th inning and the Braves hold on for a 3-2 victory to take the series from the Red Sox as interleague play comes to an end for the 2012 season.

                          * The Red Sox will wrapup their homestand after an off day with a 2 game series with the Toronto Blue Jays as Felix Dobront will face Henderson Alvarez in the opener.

                          * Adrian Gonzalez went 2 for 4 as he continues to hit the ball with authority. Gonzalez is hitting .488 over his last 10 games and is hitting .337 on the season.

I decided to move the pitcher control and consistency down to 3 and it has made a big difference in terms of bb's and k's. In 10 games, I've struck out 65 times and walked 26 times. I'm liking the results out of these sliders but once again I have a pretty bad eye and swing at a lot of garbage.

                                TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

TORONTO BLUE JAYS @ BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #74 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Henderson Alvarez vs. Felix Doubront)

The Red Sox begin a quick two game series with the Blue Jays at Fenway Park with Henderson Alvarez and Felix Doubront set to face each other on the mound. Adrian Gonzalez gave the Red Sox a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning with a two run double. Jose Bautista responded with a solo HR to CF in the top of the 4th and the game would head to the 5th inning with Boston leading 2-1. Toronto had runners on 2nd & 3rd with two outs in the top of the 5th for Rajai Davis but Doubront would get Davis to fly out to shallow CF for the final out to keep the score 2-1. Alvarez retired the 1st two batters in the bottom of the 5th before Jacoby Ellsbury drew a walk, stole 2nd base and came around to score on an RBI double by Pedroia to make it 3-1. Felix Doubront was facing the leadoff batter in the top of the 6th when he grabbed his arm and had to leave the game due to injury, he was replaced on the mound by Scott Atchison who came in and retired the side in order. The Red Sox extended their lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the 6th on an RBI single by Saltalamacchia. The Blue Jays would get a run on an RBI single in the top of the 7th to make it 4-2 and had two men on base with one out but Atchison would get out of the inning with the two run lead intact. Adrian Gonzalez continued to rake as he added an RBI single in the bottom of the 7th to make it 5-2 heading into the 8th inning. Toronto had runners at 2nd & 3rd with two outs in the top of the 8th and Bobby Valentine would turn to his closer Alfredo Aceves with Brett Lawrie coming up. Lawrie would line a single up the middle to score two runs and cut the Red Sox lead to 5-4. Aceves would get Colby Rasmus to ground out to end the inning with Boston leading 5-4. Jason Frasor came on to pitch the bottom of the 8th and recorded the 1st two outs with ease before Cody Ross drew a two out walk. Ryan Kalish was up next and he drilled an RBI double high off the green monster as Ross just beat the throw home to score all the way from 1st base and give the Red Sox a big insurance run as we would head to the 9th inning with Boston leading 6-4. JP Arencibia led off the 9th with a double but Aceves would strike out David Cooper for the 1st out. Rajai Davis was up next and he singled to CF to drive in Arencibia and make it 6-5 with one out and the tying run on base. Yunel Escobar grounded to 3rd base and Middlebrooks got the lead runner at 2nd base for the 2nd out and Escobar beat the throw to 1st base to avoid a game ending double play. Mike McCoy would pinch run for Escobar at 1st base as Kelly Johnson came up with the Jays down to their final out and Jose Bautista lurking in the on deck circle. Johnson put up a good fight as he fouled off many tough pitches before Aceves would finally strike him out on a back door cutter to end the game as Aceves picks up his 20th save of the season and Boston holds on for a 6-5 victory.

                                * Felix Doubront left the game with an injury in the 6th inning. Doubront is out 5 days with Elbow Tightness, the Red Sox have decided to put him on the 15 day DL to rest the elbow. Aaron Cook has been called up from AAA Pawtucket and will take Doubront's spot in the rotation.
