I've never seen anything like that before. Heck I just played a game where David Ortiz got a triple (there was some bad fielding involved, but still... David Ortiz... triple... only time those two words belong together is when "cheeseburger" joins them)

Are you sure Pagan was running the whole time? The AI likes to stop all runners at first like the other bases don't exist. I've lost doubles in the past because I forgot to hold down the L1 button from the moment I made contact. I especially catch myself doing this on near-home-run hits off the wall.

I notice that it's been getting better every year as far as the CPU discipline is concerned, but when I look at how many pitches CPU chases in pitcher/batter analysis, I think they still don't chase nearly as much as MLB hitters do... (In fact there might be a miscalculation on the devs part, as that number is quite off compared to the rest which are mostly in line with MLB numbers.) I just want to know what the general consensus is as far as CPU chasing pitches...

By the way, nice explanations Bobhead. I enjoy reading about your thinking process about these things.
Another thumbs up for Bobhead, that guy can W R I T E

I hate to be the conspiracy theorist here, but I think that the tendency in the baseball gaming community, in general, to want to see a lot of hits in a baseball game, is reflected in the way the dev's coded this game (so that the player is encouraged to throw it into the strike zone). If the CPU is rarely swinging at stuff outside of the strike zone, you're going to throw into it (hence, lots of hits).

Good afternoon. I would like to know what does this mean for pitch speed - ?
Does it mean move the bar all the way to the right or all the way to the left?

It means everyone has completely different reaction times, and you should use the pitch speed that's comfortable for you. It won't affect any other sliders or anything like that.

Stride Difficulty has no effect on the game unless you are using Analog hitting.

Oh, and I personally have Pitch Speed at 4. I like to have pitch speed exactly 1 point above what feels "comfortable" for me.

                  Thanks for the response.

If you were to ever use Pure Analog would u use it at default or match it to what you have timing on now? what would you use?

I'm cleary aware of what Pitch Speed means!
I was asking about the meter! Did the dash/hyphen " - " represent a full or empty meter! Anyway, I got the answer that i seeked from someone else!

Hey Bobhead. Thanks for the sliders, I just starting using them today and played 2 games. I like them so far, they are working great.

I get the sense that the majority thinks that one of the only major problems with this year's game is baserunners being gunned down too easily (even at first from right field), hence your drastic adjustments to arm strength, fielder reaction, etc. since the opinion on this has been almost unaminous, don't you think we might see an adjustment in a patch that might correct this?
I hate to break this to you, but I highly doubt there is going to be a patch addressing right fielder arms if a workaround is being done via sliders. As far as I know, the developers only visit the bug and feedback forums, if even that.

The patch already addressed the RF arm issues. They've been toned down.

Using these sliders I threw out the runner before he reached 1B on a hard hit single to right field two games in a row.

It was the same teams matched up & it could've been the same hitter too, but I didn't take note.

This issue hadn't occured until after I installed the patch, but i'm sure that's a coincidence.

I would think so I haven't seen or thrown out anyone since the patch. Also, here is the details on the patch if you haven't already looked at them.
