    Re: Bobhead's 2012 Sliders

The OP now contains this link, to a spreadsheet with stats from my franchise. I will be updating that spreadsheet at various times in the season. Probably every few weeks or something like that.

I've been getting my butt kicked in the last couple of games (I lost one game like 15 to 3), so the opposing offense is a bit skewed, but other than that, everything seems to be in a reasonable place. I definitely have to work on my plate discipline though.

Bobhead, what difficulty and pitch speed are you currently using? I was fine in the minors with default sliders, but since being called up to the majors in RTTS, my player has led the league in homeruns and strikeouts in back to back seasons. I've convinced myself that increasing difficulty and lowering pitch speed is the answer, as I'm killing the off speed stuff (except the super slider) and can't catch up to the fastball. Thanx in advance.

I am batting on Hall of Fame, with Pitch Speed at 2.

Hall of Fame default is faster than All Star default though. When I bat on All Star I raise it to 4.

About contact theres wrote in game info that improve vision and discipline, to have less discipline by cpu we could set it to 1 or 0. Cuz at 2 there arent so many strikeout. Another thing is timing that improves misses. At 6 i thought they miss very rarely. Im thinking that people have fear to put at 0 all this two slider for cpu cuz they will think that cpu will not swing anymore, cpu will scores like before, the difference is that the game eill be more realistic.
Im telling this cuz with many ehxibition esperiments cpu can hit nearly 10 or 12 hit per game still.
I dunno how many strike out people do but im always last in team ranking.

                Re: Bobhead's 2012 Sliders

Thanks for the great sliders Bobhead!

I was a little late starting a franchise this year so I hopped on the slider forum a week ago and browsed different slider sets. I went through about 5 sets that didn't pass the eyeball test until I found yours. It would have taken me 40 games to try to get my own set and it still wouldn't be as good as this one. This is the first year I've been able to start game 1 of my franchise knowing that I was gonna play all162 without any adjustments!

I did modify a couple things before I started.

I use classic pitching and if anyone is wondering, yes these will work for classic pitching.

I hit on Legend and it is the perfect challenge for me.

I definitely recommend these to any intermediate/advanced player!

                  Re: Bobhead's 2012 Sliders

alright so your thread is the only one i can find with both analog hitting and pitching so i have been using them for a while now, prob about a month or so. I just now saw ur update from the 28th and i use the all-star for both hitting and pitching. Up until now with the older version i have been doing a decent on the hitting side of things (depending on the t.v. i am using which i find amussing of how different it is) but on the pitching side i cant strike ppl out to save my life. i was averaging 4 strikeouts a game with greinke when i played. So I am putting in the updated sliders and am starting a new chise with the marlins and will let you know my team stats and the notables at the end of the each series.

Hey Bobhead I'm wondering if you've ever messed around with pitching on HoF and if you have what the pitching sliders looked like. I'm starting to think that maybe that level might be better for me.

Hey Bobhead, what difficulty and slider set do you use for pitching? Do you use classic or pulse? Do you get a realistic amount of cpu swings and misses?

I can answer that for you, last known he uses analog for both hitting and pitching with hitting on HoF and pitching on allstar. He has provided sliders for pulse pitching as well. I personally am play the exact same as listed above and I get swings and misses I get caught looking, and I'm averaging 5.5 strikeouts per game with my starter and 7.5 total right now. The only issue I'm having is getting realistic home runs against me. It's still kind of early in my franchise (early May) but I've only given up one jack by my whole staff.

i play TNK sliders on all star, and i have noticed on these power on 6 surely is too high as i think on 5 that there are too many HR. Why have u suggested 6?
