Loving this slider set PB. I'd like to offer up some stats after 11 games in my Dodgers season. Obviously there is variance from player to player in the stats that are put up but I figured they might give some people an idea of what to expect. I am 23rd in the league in hitting coming in at .235 as a team. I am 5th in the league in ERA coming in at 2.56.

Bear in mind that the Dodgers first 10 games are against the Padres (7) and the Pirates (3). The 11th game I played against Milwaukee. That being said, I am not sure how my results will be once I begin to play more quality teams. My record is 8-3 at the moment.

What's your thinking behind the base runner speed at default? I felt they were way too fast at that.

Seems like plays never get the time to develop because the runners are down the line too fast. If you saw the play Rolen made yesterday for the Reds, you'll see that is never possible in the game with default base running and even the slowest player running.

Trying these out now Pyscho. Only change I made was putting pitch speed at 10. I don't have the time to do my own so yours are the next best thing

Got the 2-1 win over the Brewers with the Cubs. Game felt really good and I like having fielding on auto, a lot better animations. I strongly encourage you to try pitch speed at 10. After about 4-5 games you get used to it and can start seeing pitches a lot better.

I love these sliders. They make for a good game. I think I am going to have to lower the hitting difficulty to All-Star because I can't hit. I love the way everything else work though.

Does make sense. I'm having problems with being way out in front of, well, everything at this point on the current pitch speed settings. I'm gonna give it a try at 10.

                  I hear ya.
But i think baserunner speed at default is a must. If you have it any lower you are going to struggle to make a double even on balls that are in the gap.
The outfielders reaction and speed at which they close down the ball turn and throw back in this year is overdone imo...
I have hit shots to the wall which in years previous would be comfortable doubles(which they should be) now result in you only just beating out the tag by a step more times than not.

Edit: Still enjoying these for the most part...gonna move up to HOF for hitting though as i feel on A Star there are a few funky things happening that i don't like.

If you have fielders run speed and arm strength down to 3, then this isn't a problem. I see plenty of doubles and my baserunner speed is at 3.

Personally i am not seeing this(and am actually in the process of lowering fielder speed further) but if it is working for you then who am i to argue..

I'd turn down speed to 1 or 2 instead of messing with arm strength. I think arm strength needs to be at the default or higher. At 3, on a shallow ball to right field, Francouer can barely get the ball to the third basemen..generally on a single hop. IRL it's a frozen rope with his arm. In general though I'm barely seeing any close throws because they're hitting the dirt and slow rolling to the base.

                            PB,

Great job on these. I am late to the party with this game as I was on the road for a month, but so far I am in love. I do have to pitch on veteran though, as I suck bad at pitching. I am pretty sure I am going to have to move the hitting down to veteran or all-star in RTTS, at least until my attributes go up enough. Hitting with the real guys is working out just great though. I am seeing a lack of home runs, but it has only been 4 games so far in franchise.

I've been playing a ton since beginning my franchise. (Red Sox)

There's a lot to like so far.......
                              My record is 10-6.
Hitting around .270, Era around 3.50.

All my pitching stuff seems great. The overall numbers to this point are all within reason, and I've had a game where I was bombed for 6 home runs by Texas (a 1/3 of what I've given up to this point), Games where I gave up runs and a bunch of hits, and games we're I've absolutely shut the other team down.
Point is I've got to a 3.50 and realistic numbers having every kind of game experience you could have pitching.

Other than issues base-stealing (I'll have to figure out a way to do that better, because right now I suck this year), really I only have one complaint, just one thing that is bumming me out.

                              My XBH's seem really skewed.
My runs as a total are a bit on the low side (especially considering my average) and it's tied to the fact that I have not seen many Home Runs.

                              I have 10 HR's in 16 games.
38 Doubles in the same time.

I swear any time I'm making great contact and crushing balls it's in a gap or off a wall, leading to the high doubles total.
I just wish like 5 of those doubles were HR's. It'd put my HR's and runs scored at around average and the experience as a whole, close to perfect.

Apparently all I had to do was come on here and post about my lack of power. lol
Two games yesterday I had 2 homers in the first and then 4 in the second.
That included a home run by Shoppach in each game, so it wasn't just the usual suspects.

So I'm good with that for the time being.....I just needed to have a game like that to see it was possible, now I know it can happen any given game, so I'll stop fretting for the time being.
