Been using the Legend and All Star sets in random exhibition games for awhile now with decent success. Jumped back into my Dodgers franchise that i haven't touched in about a month and low and behold i can barely score and my timing seems a little different. So this brings me to the question. Are exhibition and franchise somehow "tuned" differently or behave differently and if so why? In my exhibition games i get a fair share of pitches to hit but in the franchise games playing with the All Star set the cpu's accuracy and control seemed default-like.

Guys, the crazy thing about these sliders in particular is that they are so random. You notice some of the sets on OS (even the bigger ones) have games where it's all homeruns and seems like it was the same game over and over again. With these, it all depends on how you play and how the computer executes on your mistakes, much like real baseball. Like live said, the stats will balance out. I'll say this though, it's harder to get out of a slump than going on a cold streak, although, cold streaks will happen, and I guarantee that. As for exhibition and franchise, I think it's a little different the farther you get into franchise mode.

I'm glad you're liking them but I would love more input than just 'I think its just too easy to hit'. A difficulty, slider set and which stats are being too frequent'ed would go a long way in how to fix our sets for the better.

As crains said, the stats should even out. I am going at a .323 clip for my team through April. As for May? So far, in 9 games, .202. Yeah, it's cray.

Well, I was playing these sliders on Hall of Fame. On normal slider HoF I noticed that I was not hitting as many home runs, or connected with more powerful strokes.

So I guess what I'm saying is I find it that im getting better contact than I actually believe is realistic.

BUT, with saying that and reading your comments, I have not nearly played a large enough sample size to have these stats even out ( sorry for not reading previous pages of this, just downloaded and played and thought I'd share my experience ).

My stats were similar to yours. I played 28 games and was was hitting .339 team average with the A's.
i guess i will play a little longer to see if I hit a slump.

One thing i really noticed was if the CPU pitcher fell behind 1-0 in the count, next pitch was always down the middle and i crushed almost 90% of the time. Hope this helps you understand my last message.

If the current pace continues and you are making contact too often for your liking, you could drop either Timing or User Contact by 1. This should help. But, please, play 20+ before making changes.

I have had the worst luck with my bullpen as of late. I won 2 out of 3 against the Braves and Dodgers to stand atop the NL Central at 7-5. Then, the red-hot Rockies came to town and changed the atmosphere of Brew City. They won the first two games of the series (running their winning streak to 6), both games they came back in the 7th/8th/9th to eventually take the lead and win. Axford earned the loss in both of the contests, running his ERA up to 19.06. I ended up winning the series finale but have dropped two games back of the red-hot Reds. I also just lost Game One against the Astros, 3-2. My offense was depleted (tired, gave Braun, Weeks, and Gamel a day off) and we couldn't hit Bud Norris. Greinke pitched great, just not good enough.

That was the fourth blown save for Axford, who earlier in the year gave up 5 earned in a loss against the Braves, who scored 9 in the ninth to win the game. I have now moved him to 6/7th inning duty for the time being, appointed K-Rod the closer. If this continues with the Ax Man, I may have to DFA him. As I will with George Kottaras if he cannot pick it up after his next start (only plays when Randy Wolf is on the mound, for those who don't follow the Brewers; is batting .056 with 0 HR and 1 RBI).

This just goes to show the variation within these sliders. Earlier in the week, I felt invincible after hitting 4 dingers with Braun and now I cannot scrap together enough runs to win a game against the 30th rated Astros.

I have no idea where the hell my power went. Through 50 games I only have 35 home runs. I guess it isn't that bad, but I play at Great American Ballpark. Lol.

I'm the opposite. Thanks to Ryan Braun's torrid start (.397, 7 HR, 18 RBI on April 25), my Brewers are 2nd in thr league in HR, right behind the NYY. We are also in Top-5 for batting AVG, RBI, walks, and Doubles.

I have no idea where the hell my power went. Through 50 games I only have 35 home runs. I guess it isn't that bad, but I play at Great American Ballpark. Lol.

That's still within the MLB averages when you break it down per game. As long as you are between 1.49 and .59 HR's per game you should be fine and shouldn't have to adjust anything.

I'm dead last in the league in avg and on base. 148 and 178 respectively, might be time to boost some hitting, I'm on all star through 15 games

Possibly try bumping User Contact and Timing +1 and if that doesn't work, you can always go to Veteran. Also, drop your Pitch Speed if you have to!

Ever since I have switched over to AS pitching;through 13 games my teams ERA is 2.43 and u have pitched 2 or 3 shut outs already. I think I'm gonna raise power up to 5 and see if that helps any. Or should I wait a few more games?

13 games is nothing.

To be fair, I don't use these sliders, but...

I am on AS (essentially Default) using Classic, and I can show you a 13 game stretch with an ERA of less!

But, I can also show you an April of over 4.10.

And I can show you a July of 3.17 (by far my best month of the year).

You need to play plenty more games before knowing for sure, so hang in there. My team ERA is at 3.68 currently, thanks to the July noted above.

I literally just went a 5 game stretch where I think I gave up a total of like 8 runs. Then SEA had to go and embarrass my De La Rosa for 10 earned over 2.1 IP. Yikes!
