Re: ILiveForThis and authentic's MLB Simulation Slider Project 2012

I've been an Xbox player since Original Xbox, but I'm finally making the jump tomorrow just so I can play this game. I'm going to start off with these sliders, but I have a few questions:

Are the sliders in the first post the most up to date sets?
Which difficulty is the most realistic and balanced?
Which roster works best with this slider set?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you want answers from me or not; but I thought I would be helpful since I have been using their sliders since May and I am 70 games into a franchise.

Yes these are the most update up to date.

Which difficulty is the most realistic and balanced?
All-star is probably the most balanced; but The Show is very realistic with any slider set. Since its your first time with The Show, you might want to start with the veteran sliders, and go from there.

Which roster works best with this slider set?
Most of the OSFM rosters and OSFM Scott's ZiPs Re-rated will work with these sliders. Although I don't think rosters will effect the sliders set that much if at all

Oh and BTW, these sliders are bad a**.

As most of you know, Live and myself have found a lot of success in adding a 3rd member to our slider team...

Who thinks we can possibly get Blzer to join the team for next years MLB The Show game?

Personally I use timed hitting and do use the swing influence in obvious occasions with the Summer Classic set. However due to my age (52) my reflexes aren't what they once were I have pitch speed at 3 and use Veteran hitting. Everything else is the same. Have my own set when I play on the Vita though. Never use the power button. Getting great results with these. A big thumbs up to IL4T and authentic. As the very astute Ksig would say: "These are legit!"

Well right now i have gone done to Rookie from Veteran and have everything at default except fielding speed and reaction. both are all the way down.

I think that when i get my confidence back or start to win too many games in a row ill jump in here and see what these can do for me.. I'm currently 4-10 in my franchise... went down to rookie after losing 7 straight and 3 in a row..

i seriously doubt i will go on any tears with default on rookie as i am def not that great with this years game.

I personally dont see the reason to raise the CPU hitting sliders a bit.. as long as you pitch well or keep the ball low or whatever you should be ok.. ive given up my fair share of runs lately... (outscored 37-17) in my first 12 games.

Even on rookie im not smoothering the cpu hitters by any means. I feel comfortable right now (which is all that matters i know) I know i wont stay here forever but when i do come out of my funk and feel that im ready for more.. these will be my choice...

I think one other change to sliders i will make is cpu strike % down to maybe 3 and command to 3. other than that.. im good..

I am very intrigued by these sliders, they dont seem too hard, very close to default on many levels... like i said.. i more than likely will be back to try them. i just want to see if i am indeed ready for any of them yet..

These should work just as good in RTTS, right?

These look really exciting as my tkm sliders simply aren't a challenge whatsoever any longer.

                          Questions:

                          1) What's the name of the official roster file for v4? Vault is a complete mess. Opening day won't work with these?

                          2) Why is pitcher warmup turned off if we're going for realism? Just curious.

Sorry to repeat a question that's likely been asked before,
but will the Cooperstown set (or other) work for RTTS?

Since these thread is kind of dead...I'll try to answer to the best of my ability. I have been using these sliders (AS set with a small tweak to HUM pitching since i use analog pitching) since May. If the other sets are as solid as the AS set, which I'm sure they are, I'd say that any set will work with with RTTS or any other mode. Although I dont believe these sets were used in RTTS while testing.
