Pitching isn't a huge jump. You can always keep hitting at all star of you struggle. Pitch speed takes time to get used to it, but you will get used to it.

For those asking, here is how Classic Pitching works.

There is two things you can do. Regular Effort or Max Effort. The only difference is that the max effort gives you more velocity with less control. Regular is the opposite. It obviously will effect your pitcher's fatigue differently. The max effort is indicated by the vibration. Usually a second of holding 'X' will activate Max Effort.

Another tip I forgot is, it may seem silly, but DON'T leave the ball over the plate. Even on high ball counts, try to stay on the edges. If you miss while trying to get one over, your more willing to leave a hanger that will get hit. Don't be afraid of walks, or you will pay a bigger price.

            Wow. These are surprisingly....great!

First game I played with these, I got rocked around with CC, giving up 3 runs in the first and then retiring like 12 straight. Next game, I pitched Josh Johnson with the Marlins and threw 8 strong giving up only 4 hits and 1 run, striking out 5, and walking 3.

Offense is fun now. If I sit fastball and get it, then I crush it (like in the pros). If I guess wrong, well then it's swing and miss. I was able to hammer Verlander but then Trevor Cahill of all people was able to shut me down through 5.

Glad they worked out for you. The good thing about these is that the good players stand out, but that doesn't mean they'll always be really good. Good stuff!

I just got crushed by the Twins, 13-3 with Samardzija on the mound. Then I beat the Cardinals 6-3 with Garza. Crazy to see the difference from game to game with these. If you have to resort to your pen early you better make pitches or else it will be a long game. Wednesday can't get here early enough to finally get my Cubs franchise going.

I agree, the outcomes are so sporadic that it makes each game interesting.

One thing that you got me hooked on, authentic, is using the Warm Up Pitchers as Off. I know it takes away from the realism, but if you use it in the right way, it's just like having it on. It's very nice not to have to worry about warming up that long-reliever and just be able to put him into the game.

Had a 3-0 shutout going with Felix against the Royals yesterday, until they put together a 6-run 8th to beat me 6-3. Was just like, I couldn't hit my spots and my fastball started getting jumped.

I still warm up pitchers. I just don't like to do it before the game and when a reliever is put in. Those 8 pitches aren't shown on TV so I don't like it.

Will these sliders still work playing on All-Star with Meter pitching and Pitch Speed at 3?

To be honest we never tested with meter pitching. If you want to use meter pitching, I'd say it'd be the same as what we tested with pulse pitching, user control and consistency at 0. If you lower pitch speed you might hit better so you might have to lower power or contact a little.

Just lost 10-3 to the Brewers with the Cubs. Dang, whenever I have to turn to my lower end bullpen guys, I get lit. Game was 6-3 in the 8th and went to young Lendy Castillo and he got crushed.

I'm trying your sliders out right now, with the change of Classic pitching switched to Analog pitching. So far they are pretty awesome. I will post the box score after my game is over.
