Could live or authentic explain to me y'all's methods with classic pitching? I want to hear other people's opinions on how they go about pitching.

Do these work with analog batting?

For classic pitching, it's simple. Regular Effort or Max Effort. Tap it for regular (more control, less velocity/break) or hold till vibration for max (more zip/break, less control). I usually only use Max Effort or a 0-2, 1-2 counts or when a hitter has been battling and I know I can get him to swing at just about anything/am not afraid to walk him at that point.

As for analog batting, not a clue as we didn't test with anything but Timing. With pitch speed at 10, I can imagine that Analog would be a bit tough.

          Agreed.

As for the user who was wondering about doing a database rebuild, it won't delete any game files, just downloaded pieces that aren't usable. It cleans your system up.

Re: ILiveForThis and authentic's MLB Simulation Slider Project 2012

Any suggestions on if I should lower the CPU hitting sliders, or raise my pitching control/consistency sliders if I'm getting absolutely rocked while pitching? Guessing the CPU hitting sliders, but I'm also having serious issues throwing strikes.

EDIT: BTW, I love how these feel when I'm hitting.

Chaos, if anything, use our newest updates (User/CPU Power -1, User Solid Hits +1). If that doesn't result in you having a better time pitching, raise your control a click. But try to keep Consistency where it is currently at. It's the magic spot.

You guys are lowering the user and cpu power by one click? I was finding that power was really low for the user where it was at. Does the solid hits increase change that much?

Re: ILiveForThis and authentic's MLB Simulation Slider Project 2012

Let's put it this way.. CPU Power was too much, causing those fly balls to keep carrying. This now keeps those in the park but still allows hard hit balls to travel. For User, the ball was just always so weakly hit. So, by lowering power (which is still one about default) and increasing Solid Hits, it allows for more balls hit on the sweet spot with "6" Power instead of less-balls being squared up with "7" Power. This causes for more gappers that are now getting to the wall faster and more balls being hit out.

For example, in those fifteen games with the base sliders, I hit 1 "no-doubter" (where you get the animation of the player watching the ball). So far with the updates, I've had 3 in 7 games. More concetrated hitting.

You got it all, but it looks kind of confusing. I would put the new number first, bolded in red, then the old number behind it in the ( ). Just my two cents.

2-0, 1 hit lost for me. Strasburg was simply amazing. About to play game 2, and it's raining. Good pitchers are really tough with these, hopefully Gio falls behind a lot.

                              lol

Holding off until tomorrow. I have to be zoned in to play with these sliders. I'll post my opening day box score tomorrow. I'd get 1 hit again if I played right now. Glad I played an exhibition game, now I know that Strasburg is no joke and I'll have to play really good. I might up contact to 6 though. I have been looking at replays and have seen a lot of balls that actually go through my bat. I think this has to do with timing so low and pitch speed high. Contact at 6 might help with this. I'll probably run with contact at 6.

ILFT's Milwaukee Brewer Franchise - Game One
                                v. St. Louis Cardinals

                                - The Brewers had runners on base often, but couldn't get the key hits when the time was due.

                                - Kyle Lohse pitched swell, leaving after 7 innings, only giving up 3 runs (2 back in the first inning)

                                - Meanwhile, Yovani Gallardo didn't have his A-Game. He gave up 4 runs in 5 innings, walking 3 and striking out 3.

                                - Lance Berkman (2-4, HR, 2 RBI, BB, K) paced the Cardinal offense, earning himself POTG honors.

                                - Aramis Ramirez played well in his Brewers debut, hitting his first homerun of the young season.
