If you start with the zone up about 3/4th of the strike zone, this will enable you to get to the high fastball and also get to the low pitches. I also had trouble getting to the high fastball until I started this method. I picked it up from another thread so i cant' take credit for this method, but it works wonders.

Imo, starting out up in the zone like that helps out dramatically. Now, more than everComment

Re: Analog hitter question
Is pure anaolog as simple as starting the stride by pulling down on the right analog stick and up to swing? Is it essentially the same as timing but using the stick instead of the buttons? Am I requried to push the right stick up to match pitch location? For example push up and to the left if the pitch is inside on a right hand hitter? I'm tempted to try pure analog as button mashing is growing old for me. Thanks!!Comment

IMO, the best set up is zone analog swing. where you use both sticks.
I gave up the button mashing once 2k implemented it in their game. that was a drawback for me with the Show until last year, even though it was a bit awkward. This year The SHOW's analog controls feel great and spot on.Comment

Re: Analog hitter question
yup. its pull all the way down for power swings and straight up for contact, and you can aim to the left or right.

The 1 thing I would suggest is that I just recently switched over to is not using "guess pitch"
once I got used to it, it seemed G.P. really handicaps the hitters attributes. i couldn't hit a lick b4 using g.p. Now, without it much better . if a pitcher hangs a breaking ball? now buh bye! b4, chopper or pop up because I didn't "guess" that pitchMLB The Show Hybrid Roster ContributorComment
