Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS
Game 9 of my franchise was an awesome game. I was down 3-1 going to the bottom of the 7th. I was able to score 3 to take a 4-3 lead. Held that lead till the 9th, brought in Hanrahan and blew the save.(Sound familiar?) Brought in Andrew Miller in the 10th and was able to go 5 innings while striking out 5.
The game lasted till the 15th when Napoli won it with his first hit of the game. A walk off homer.

Other than that, this slider set is the best!

I don't use the guess pitch, but I don't move the PCI either. I just press X. Having great success with the Indians. Am I doing myself a disservice by doing that?Comment

Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS
Had to show you this hit TNK. I was just going to ask how many hard hit grounders you are able to get down the line past the 3b/1b, when I got this bases loaded bottom of the 7th 2 out 2 run single by Brett Gardner to take a 3-2 lead against Arizona.
Even though I got this hit, I still am not sure enough of the really sharp grounders I hit down the lines are getting through. Especially with Ichiro, I've hit 4-5 the last 2-3 games that at least one of them should have gotten past the 1b/3b for a hit.

I actually think my hit variety is perfect for right now - I'm getting, liners, bloops, choppers, slow rollers, rockets, bombs, balls that hook, balls that tail, etc.Comment

Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS
Had a great game last night, Rangers(me) vs Rays
Was down 5-0 mid of 3rd after a triple HR, got it back to 5-3 bottom of 5, back out to a 5 run lead 8-3 mid 7, 8-6 bottom of 8. Had bases loaded with one out in the 9th, got K out and popped out to lose the game.So wanted a walk off, still haven't seen one yet.
8-12-1 TB
6-14-0 TEX
3 times i had bases loaded during the game and not once could i take advantage of of it but what i liked(kinda) was that not one of my runs came from a HR.
Was 3-1 but have lost 3 in a row now to be 3-4.
Thanks TNKNGM
Just a question for anyone, why do catchers get so many PO, no way has my catcher had as many PO as the stats are saying.Comment

Every hitting mechanic uses the Ratings
I just feel like you should at least have to aim your swing "go with the pitch"....not just tap a button for hitting.....just my personal opinionComment

Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS
TNK - BOSTON RED SOX FRANCHISE
Game #7 of the Season - Baltimore Orioles @ Boston Red Sox
Pitching Matchup - Wei-Yin Chen vs. Clay Buchholz
It's Opening Day in Boston as the Red Sox begin the home portion of their schedule with a day game against the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore comes in at 3-3 on the season and will send lefty Wei-Yin Chen to the mound against Clay Buchholz for Boston.
* Buchholz retired the side in order in the top of the 1st and Chen pitched around an error by Flaherty as the Sox stranded Ellsbury at 2nd base in the bottom of the 1st.
* The Orioles took the lead in the top of the 2nd as Chris Davis crushed a ball high off the green monster and ended up with a triple after Daniel Nava bobbled the ball off the wall. Matt Wieters drove in Davis with the games 1st run on an RBI single to make it 1-0. Buchholz got Steve Pearce to fly out to RF with two men on to end the inning with no further damage.
* Will Middlebrooks doubled to lead off the bottom of the 2nd on the 9th pitch of his at bat. Chen pitched out of the jam though as he whiffed Nava and got Gomes & Ross to fly out to end the inning and the Orioles had a 1-0 lead after two innings.
* The Orioles got singles from Adam Jones and Matt Wieters in the top of the 4th to setup runners at the corners with one. JJ Hardy then drew a walk to load the bases for Ryan Flaherty with one out. Buchholz gathered himself after a mound visit from the pitching coach and struck out Flaherty after a 9 pitch at bat to get the 2nd out of the inning. Steve Pearce came up next and Buchholz tight roped out of danger as Pearce would fly out to Victorino in RF as the Orioles leave the bases loaded and the score remains 1-0.
* Wei-Yin Chen was in complete control as he has allowed just one hit over the 1st 4 innings and we would go to the 5th with the Orioles leading 1-0.
* Buchholz recorded the 1st two outs in the top of the 5th before Nick Markakis walked and Adam Jones lined a double down the LF line to setup runners on 2nd & 3rd for Chris Davis with two outs. Buchholz was having control issues and issued his 2nd walk of the inning to load the bases for Matt Wieters. Buchholz got ahead 0 and 2 in the count and Wieters fought off a tough pitch and hit a chopper to Middlebrooks at 3rd and he tried to go to the 3rd base bag for the force but Jones just beat him to the bag on a close play and everyone was safe as Markakis scores to make it 2-0. JJ Hardy was up next with the bases still loaded and he lined a single to CF to drive in 2 RBI and make it a 4-0 game. Buchholz struck out Ryan Flaherty to finally end the inning.
* Chen pitched around a lead off double by Daniel Nava in the bottom of the 5th and Jose Iglesias was robbed of a base hit and RBI to end the inning as Adam Jones made a diving catch of a line drive in CF and the game would go to the 6th inning with Baltimore leading 4-0
* The Orioles extended their lead in the top of the 6th when Nick Markakis drove an outside fastball into the monster seats for a 2-run HR to make it 6-0 and knock Buchholz out of the ball game. Andrew Miller came on in relief and got Jones to ground out to end the inning.
* The Red Sox had a chance to get back in the ball game in the bottom of the 7th as Nava singled with one out for his 2nd hit of the game and Jonny Gomes drew a walk to give the Sox 2 men on base with one out. David Ross was up next and he flew out to Jones in CF for the 2nd out. Jose Iglesias came up next and he hit the ball hard on the ground but Manny Machado made a nice pick at 3rd base and threw across the diamond for the final out and send the game to the 8th inning with Baltimore on top comfortably with a 6-0 lead.
* The Orioles got back to back singles from Flaherty and Pearce in the top of the 8th to setup runners on the corners with no outs. Miller would get Nate McLouth to hit into a 6-4-3 double play but Flaherty would come in to score and make it 7-0. Junichi Tazawa came in and gave up a single to Machado but bounced back to strike out Markakis to end the inning.
* Chen remained in the game for the bottom of the 8th despite being at 99 pitches thrown. Chen hit Victorino with a pitch with one out and Victorino took 2nd base on defensive indifference with two outs as Davis wasn't even holding him on at 1st and Wieters didn't throw down to 2nd base. Mike Napoli broke up the shutout bid with an RBI single to CF to score Victorino and make it 7-1. Will Middlebrooks followed with a two out single but Chen would get Nava to pop out to end the inning and send the game to the 9th with Boston trailing 7-1.
* Tazawa pitched a 1-2-3 top of the 9th and the Red Sox would come up for their last at bat of the night chasing 6 runs in the bottom of the 9th.
* Pedro Strop came in to pitch the bottom of the 9th for Balitmore with a 6 run lead looking to record the final 3 outs. Mike Carp got pinch hit for David Ross with 1 out and drove a line drive into RF for a pinch hit single. Jarrod Saltalamacchia came on as a pinch hitter for Iglesias and he crushed a ball but unfortunately it was hit to the deepest part of the park and Jones caught it on the warning track of the triangle at the 420 foot mark in CF for the 2nd out. Strop got Ellsbury to ground out to end the game as the Orioles win 7-1.
The Orioles get a strong pitching performance from Wei-Yin Chen and timely hitting as they cruise to a 7-1 victory to take game #1 of this 3 game series and hand the Red Sox their 2nd loss of the season. The teams will have an off day tomorrow and the Red Sox will send Ryan Dempster to the mound in the next game against Jake Arrieta for the Orioles
* Red Sox SS Stephen Drew will join the team after missing the 1st 7 games of the season recovering from a concussion suffered in Spring Training and make his Red Sox debut in the next game.
* The Red Sox sent SS Jose Iglesias down to AAA Pawtucket to make room for Drew who will take over as the starting SS in the Red Sox lineup. Iglesias performed quite well in Drew's absence but will be better served getting regular at bats in AAA for now.

Show them 4 straight sliders away then bust em up and in with heat
I'm telling you - the K's are there......it's all about pitching smarter and throwing balls on purpose.
Don't fall into the habit of trying to paint every pitch on the corner for a strikeComment
