The Arizona Diamondbacks continued their magical 2013 season by defeating the Atlanta Braves in the Wildcard showdown.

They go on to face the defending WS champion S.F. Giants.


The New York Yankees went to Oakland and pounded the A's 9-4 with 17 hits. 2 long balls by Vernon Wells and Robinson Cano paced the Yankees attack. Vernon Wells was the player of the game going 3-4 just missing hitting for the cycle by a triple. C.C. Sabathia pitched 7 strong innings giving up 7 hits, fanning 8 batters and walking none.

The Yankees move on to the A.L.D.S vs the Boston Red Sox.

Here we go......again facing the Red Sox (as I did in MLB 09, and 11). This time we will prevail!

It's Post Season time!!!

I know this slider is way past testing stage, but I have been seeing a lot of errors each game. Is this just a coincidence?

I can tell you some games....it just happens in bunches.....but most games play true to life.


If your only playing once every 5 games kind of thing....your going to have coincidental stuff happenning. The game is dice roll like (think Stratomatic) with these sliders.


Play over 100 games and you will be in baseball heaven man.

The New York Yankees flew into Boston last night and took on the Red Sox today in game one of the ALDS.

Things started great against Jon Lester as the Yankees struck for 2 quick runs in the top of the 1st. Bret Gardner got going with a base hit, SB and Derick Jeter moved him over to third on a base hit. Cano hit a chopper to second which brought home Gardner on the FC...Jeter advanced to second. Enter Vernon Wells who has been on a tear since September. He rips a base hit bringing home Jeter.

Tim Lincecum mowed down the sox through 4 innings when the Sox broke through in the 5th for 2 runs.

The Yankees answered in the top of the 5th with Alex Rodriguez smashing a 3 run HR to CF off Lester. Fenway was raining down boos.

After 5 complete

Lincecum continued his dominance in the 6th notching K 7 and 8 and going into the bottom of the 7th the Yankees held there lead.

Boone and Joba were warm in the pen while Lincecum walked the first batter he faced in Pedroia. Then he gave up a single.

Boone comes in to face Elsbury and strikes him out.

With Mike Napoli on deck....the Yanks brought in Joba. He fell behind 2-0. Ceravelli calls for a low and outside FB. But the pitch gets away from Joba and Napoli deposits a 3 run shot over the monster.

5-5 and Fenway is in complete pandemonium!!!

Joba finishes the inning but goes into the dug out dejected.

Well.....this game went thru 14 innings!!!

In the top of the 15th here is what took place. Brandon Snyder on the mound....throwing BB's for 2 straight innings. Gets the first batter on K's in Gardner and Jeter....then Cano rips a double to RC.

Up to the plate comes Vernon Wells....1-0, 1-1, 2-1...........BOOOOOM!!!

Blasts a majestic 458 foot 2 run HR out of Fenway.....literally!!!

The bench goes crazy. Fenway is silent.

Mariano Rivera "The Sandman" comes in and get's the Sox 1,2,3.

Game over.

Yanks take the series lead and home field away up 1-0

Quite possibly the greatest single game I have ever played on The Show....truly intense...my son was on the edge of seat every pitch. When Wells hit that blast we both jumped up and started screaming and hugging.

IT WAS AWESOME.

This is why The Show is hands down the greatest sports game of all time.

And it's not even close. It really isn't.

On to game 2 of the 2013 Yankees year one franchise.

Yes, the ebbs and flows are great. I started 15-2 with Toronto, blasting HR's left and right. I've since lost 6 straight. Guys are slumping and balls that are being hit hard are not finding the gaps, instead finding defenders' gloves.

Of course, having to play 20-plus games before a day off isn't helping. Everyone is tired.

Just when I thought the game was too easy, I have been snapped back to reality.

Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered. I think the Base Stealing Ability slider is still reversed this year. Why did you bring it to 6? Did you see too many successful steal attempts?

I feel like at 6 it has felt right. I was not aware of it being reversed to be honest.

A&S, great slider set here. Never thought I'd be having fun with classic pitching, timing hitting, and auto fielding, but now I see why it is I keep great fielding CF and SS on the payroll, even if there bat skills are a bit lack luster.

I've played about 10-12 games with your sliders so far and I really like them, but I have noticed that with CPU Strike Freq at 2 that there are a lot of wild pitches/passed balls. I usually see 2 a game at least which either let me advance a runner or get a batter that struck out to 1B. Now, I'm a very below average hitter and don't have many base runners, but if I did get more hits and had more base runners, I feel like there would be even more wild pitches that let my guys advance.
Are you seeing this as well? I know you have played way more games than I have with this slider set.

No i have not seen it at a high frequency. Sometimes things happen in bunches. keep playing games. Things balance over the course of a season. You may not see any for long stretches too.

In the post season so far.....I have seen one passed ball thus far. All depends on the teams, pitchers etc.

Glad your enjoying the game. The deeper you go into the season the better it gets!!!

I ended up losing in game 5 of the ALDS to the Red Sox 5-2.


Another year....another Yankees elimination in the post season.

Anyway I ran my off-season.....resigned Grandy, and Cano. Also was able to retain Lincecum with a long term deal. Kept Hughes with a one year qualifying offer and Jeter returns with a 2 year deal.

Lots of contracts done....and I landed what I think maybe 2 gems in the Rule 5.


Year 2 will begin in Feb.

Now on to finish my 1988 season replay. Then on to Knights all time teams set when it is done for. 81 game single season.

I really love these and I feel like they allow the player attributes to really take over. I have used them for my entire franchise with the Yankees and on august 24th I'm 4 games ahead in first place which is right where I think they would have been without all the injuries and stuff. Great work
