Armor or anyone out there.... is anyone playing with pitching cosistencey AND pitching control for both HUM and CPU at 3 instead of 4 ? I needed just a touch more offense from both CPU and HUM.... is it really difficult to pitch with these 2 settingS on 3 ? maybe I try consistencey at 3,control at 4,or vise-versa ?? any help would be great,thanx !!

I changed:
Fielder run speed to 2
Fielder reaction to 7
Hum pitch consistency to 3

I was curious,are you playing with pitching control and pitching consistencey for both HUM and CPU at 3 ?? I was looking for a touch more offense out of CPU and HUM. I have fldr. run sp. at 2,and fielder reaction at 7. should I try maybe pitcher control at 4,consistency at 3,for both HUM and CPU. Or vise-versa.....what setup are you using. im almost at the perfect balance,want to start a franchise...thanx in advance !!

Keep consistency at 4 and turn control down to 3 if you want.

Also turn up contact and power a click,

another question...I'm probably late on this but,did I read someone posted the base running steal ability slider is backwards this yr ? Are u seeing good results at 8 ? I have seen some slider sets where it's at 2,4,5...any feedback out there would be great thanx !!!

I saw a post where Bobhead was testing Steal Ability at 0 to help the pickoffs issue.

I tried and did see fewer successful pick offs by me and the CPU, and the ones that were successful were bang-bang plays, not like freezing for two seconds and then out by 3 feet.

I really haven't seen much difference in steal success. Neither myself nor the CPU are getting crazy high steal success, though I do have baserunner speed at 3, so that might be keeping the marginal guys more in check, especially if I don't completely ignore them and/or my catcher doesn't make a bad throw.

No. I am not seeing that at all. My best base stealers are doing exactly what they should be.

Gardner has 20 thus far

Elsbury has 19 thus far


Guys who should have success are doing just that with the settings we have.

If I was to turn down pitch control by one click, it should definitely increase my walks allowed huh? It seems my team is always way ahead in the league in walks issued so I think that really leads to a low ERA and gives me a few more wins in the win column...

It definitely should. Also are you playing with Quick Pitch or full games or combination of both?

I play mostly full games but i do use Quick Pitch as well. I would say 1 out of 3 games are QC for me. So a 1/3. I am also noticing that will skew statistics. No way around it.

It is far easier (for me personally) to draw walks with QC at bat and issue walks when pitching. So statistically speaking I think if you play exclusively with QC vs Full Games you will get two different statistical seasons. I am blending....although I am a general stat junkie...I am not getting too overly concerned with that. I like being able to play QC when I know I don't have much time but want to get a Show fix LOL.

I am at the mid-point of Year one in my proper Yankees franchise and quickly approaching the all star break in my 84 KC Royals season replay.

The one thing that really sticks out vs MLBTS 13 vs this years version is Pitching is back and runs are earned far more. 13 was a power boom for me. I hit lot's of HR's and hit for a higher team average on 13 where as thus far on 14 my Yankees are hitting a paltry .254 as a team. My 84 Royals however are hitting a cool .273

Pitching for the Yankees has been solid to very good. Pineda is killing it while Tanaka has been a victim of lousy run support. CC is giving me horse like innings and QS. Kuroda is up and down and Nuno has been really struggling of late after a nice start. Bullpen is solid.

Elsbury after a slow stat has really picked it up. Hitting 254 overall but has 20 SB's 7 HR's and is really heating up finally.
Texy is tearing up the AL with 19 HR's and 45 RBI's. So far he is the offensive MVP for me.
Beltran has been hot and cold. 258 7 HR's 23 RBI's
McCann like IRL is heating up finally. Still hitting .223 but has jacked 11 HR's
Roberts at 2nd has been a bust and firmly on my bench as Solarte has taken over that spot for the most part. I am really struggling at that spot.

Kelly Johnson - hot and cold.

Ichiro - declining rapidly

Soriano - a K machine

Gardner - my lead off man and leading the team with 24 SB's

We are in First place tied with Toronto and Boston and Baltimore are on our heals. A great race thus far as we approach the All-Star break.

I'm not trying to put anyone down, this is my opinion.. All-star is just too easy even with the sliders.. I tried to play with your set, Cardinals vs Red Sox and by inning 3 I hit 3 HRS and a bunch of fly balls off the green monster. I had 6 k's with Miller pitching. IDK, is it just me? I shut it off inning 3 like "screw this.." I have used your set on hall of fame which happens to play nicely. Check out my set on the slider page.

I think I've asked this before and sometimes I do it and sometimes I don't. Not sure if it helps or not, but do you guys still aim with the left stick when using timing hitting? Do you aim before the pitch or you aim after the pitch and what location it is thrown?

I only do that is sac situations. Down to induce a ground ball (pre load it before the pitch for all siutations). Up to induce a fly ball. Left or right to drag or push a bunt.

Preload it get the vibration which confirms the command. R2 and the right stick up down or left or right respectively.

So I need to preload and aim the left stick? And other time you just press the button?
