Are you relying on API for pitch selection and location?

I have been taking that approach as I want that simulation feel of my catcher calling a game. I will shake him off though if I feel I need to...for example a 3-2 pitch my catcher call's for a curve ball but I am just not feeling that so I go to my fast ball instead.

I would say I am playing with an 80/20 ratio of using the API to making my own pitch type decisions. I really like it. I also love reading the signals as they are working.

Now 95% of the time I am picking my location. So all I am doing is watching for the fingers for pitch type....but i am choosing my location. Every now and then i will ask my catcher for his desired location.

Armor, i downloaded the rosters done by snookiebunnie and started a new franchise with the cubs. With your sliders, will they still have the same effect? I ask this because I am guessing all the players attributes were changed (I am assuming). Do you know if there is a past post out there where we can edit players attributes based on how they finished in 2014 by using sabermetrics? I want to play the 2015 season based on how players did last year and not 2013 ( I am assuming that is how MLB the show gets their attributes). Thanks for the help!

Sliders work great with those rosters...in fact they are pretty spot on for me with all the classic rosters as well.

I have played 6 games now with the Cubs roster, and added Zobrist to the lineup. Traded Castillo and Vogelboch for Zobrist. So far, I am walking a ton (almost too much). I walked 11 times twice, but in both games they were extra innings. Every other game I walked 5 times. Should this be a concern? I know it is a very small sample size. Maybe I just have a good eye. Problem is, I am getting these guys on base, but not cashing in. I don't know how many times I load the bases with 1 or 2 outs and then ground into a DP. Very frustrating.

162 games in a season. Play all of them and you will know why.

Reversion to the mean. Baseball is all about reversion to the mean for most players. They will have seasons they play above their ratings, some below....but most at where they should be.

I design these sliders for players that play every game.

Stupid question since i'm late to this party.
I just down loaded the Hybrid Offseason Roster and mad my own adjustments as far as trades and whatnot. I'm going to be starting a new RTTS. Would you recommend this Slider set for a RTTS game?

I just down loaded the Hybrid Offseason Roster and mad my own adjustments as far as trades and whatnot. I'm going to be starting a new RTTS. Would you recommend this Slider set for a RTTS game?

I am on PS4 have been since the summer of 14.

Check out my slider thread in the PS4 section. I am releasing version 1.0 right now and they should work just as well for PS3.
