In the in game options under presentation, there's an option for Cameras. Choose the "low" view. It's the best view if you're going to be watching CPU vs CPU. This view shows off how good the animations really look.

I actually enjoy the "wide" view - I get a better pan of the stadium...

I found a remedy for the strikeouts. Just keep the pitch speed & contact on the same setting.

Try these:

Difficulty: Veteran

Pitch speed: 10

Contact: 10

Power: 13

Throwing strength: 9

Throwing accuracy: 9

What are your strike out numbers looking like w/those sliders?? The thing is, when watching, the pitch speed looks actually slow compared to real life pitch speed (i.e. the spd of a 90mph fastball). This is why I moved it all the way up. I haven't tried it yet w/your settings. I actually have gone back to MVP for watching games. The customizeable options have allowed me to do more w/ regard to K's, stolen bases, catch effort (dives), swing frequency, etc... If I play a game I will play MLB but if I watch it will be MVP for now...

Most starters will average around 5 or 6 k's. The only thing is that If you want the big strikeout guys to get 10+, you might have to make some adjustments to their performance ability.
Just remember that you need to keep the pitch speed & contact even to cut down the K's...... at least thats what I've found.

Well I play most of the games, but I like to watch the CPU play out a few for me once in awhile.

Its fun for me because i like to build my teams and see how they do without human playing. I started doing it when i started getting too good at the games and i wanted a different challenge.

It's called GM mode, I play the same way you do, just manage the team and business aspects.

i dont know if this can help in ai vs ai games..but, i found that by loweiring the pitch speed number the cpu will strike out much less than with it at 20...i was playing in veteran with 20 for pitch speed and i could strike them out about 10k in 6inn with a poor pitcher...and about 13k in 6inn with a good one..now i lower it down to 15 and the max i got was 9 with Pedro (who is a great strike out pitcher, offcourse) in 7.2inn..so i think thios has a big influency..specially with my fastballs when i played with 20 pitch speed they couldnt handle 90% of my fastballs..i would just strike them with maximum 4 pitches changing from fastballs and changups in the zone and i would easily get the k..no i see me evan walking more batters...so maybe this help you guys that like to wacth games..ok
