    Re: O/S Collab Fictional Roster

Great work Ripwalk! I too only do fantasy / fictional play and I downloaded your V1 when it came out. I did an auto draft and got Fletcher Long. He's 24 years old and a beast! My current record is 14-11 and am having a blast.

I want to try your V2 but am afraid I won't end up with as good a team as I have now. At some point I will though. Thanks for your hard work!

      Glad you’re enjoying it!

If you want to keep your V1.0 franchise but turn it into a defacto V2.0 roster…. It would probably only take a little bit of time per team to simply go through all the ML rosters and adjust secondary positions to something more realistic based on their skills, and add in some pitchers who throw different pitch mixes. Could even just edit each team as you come to play against them…

But if none of those things matter too much to you, just keep on !

Fletcher Long is a beast for sure !

But I do enjoy the process … and I love the fully fictional experience so worth it in the end for me.

Back to the question … I feel like in my sim seasons Fletcher Long has been a guy always putting up monster numbers. He’s got age on his side and already elite ratings…. But the downside being the fact he’s a 1B.

I feel like (from memory, I could be wrong), Dorsey doesn’t have the elite D I’d normally like at SS, but yeah he’s solid.
I got William Choi as my 1B, and he's been really solid too, but probably hasn't performed to his 97 OVR yet. Pedro Cabrera and Emil Fernandez have been my MVPs so far

Awesome job, I love fictional rosters, started a franchise with a random team I just picked out of a hat so to speak.. Detroit Tigers. Loving this.

I haven't played The Show in a few years since 23 so I decided to pick this one up. I love fiction rosters and leagues so when I saw this I was immediately excited! Looking forward to trying these out! Took a look at my O's and saw they were pretty good so bless [emoji23][emoji23]

Do any of you have any tips for doing fictional teams too? Cause I haven't messed with it at all. Is it like 2k where things are pre made by users and we can download the finished product? Or do we have to physically make everything. I don't know if this is the right place to ask but figured I'd try.

You can download logos users have created in the vault, but not complete uniforms. You’ll have to create those yourself. You can probably find tutorials on YouTube that would show the process much better than I can explain in words.

Yes, unfortunately you can’t download full teams/uniforms. The hardest part is finding good logo sets and downloading everything.

Once you get used to the uniform editor it’s not too difficult. I just finished my 30 custom teams… it probably took me about 10 to 20 minutes per team to create, but I’ve also gotten pretty used to the editor over the last four or five years making custom teams.

                    Re: O/S Collab Fictional Roster

                    Finally started my franchise …

Fletcher Long got taken first in the fantasy draft

My Toronto Hornets had 24th pick and I opted for taking SS Ward Mejia.

I only drafted first 12 rounds myself and thought I did well but team was ranked 27th at start of season … whoops.

Played a very entertaining opening day against the Nashville Stars. Their ace big lefty Jim Glass shut us out for 7 innings scattering only 3 hits

Our number 1 Carlos Cruz also threw 7.1 scoreless with 13 K’s

Game remained scoreless until they pushed across run in the 10th. We tied in our half, before they torched our closer Marmolejo for two more runs and we couldn’t answer … 3-1 loss

I’m likely going to go through seasons quickly with a lot of simming so I can build some history and further build the team … but having a blast so far !

I did an auto fantasy Draft with the Tigers letting the chips fall where they fall, also letting the AI handle all managerial decisions, I'm just concentrating on playing, whatever happens happens. So far I'm 22-20, I play 1, sim 5, having a blast so far.
