But will the game allow a changeup with an average velocity of 89.64 mph yet? Also that's not a very big change in speed from his fastballs.

Felix's change is one of the nastiest pitches I've EVER seen

maybe im just stupid but do you have a rating for pitchers control? your spread sheet only indicates usage and id like to add these to the OSFM hybrid so is there some way to go about finding the control rating? thanks!

          Re: OSFM Pitch Edits 2014

Now that OSFM has been released, I'm reviving this thread. The last thing I did was add some MiLB data, and the first order of business will be to update pitchers who pitch in warm weather climates (and possibly domes).

I've also mentioned command ratings based on the percentage of grooved pitches, I'll be messing around with that too.

If you guys want completely updated 2014 edits, early June is still the target date. If you guys are OK with final 2013 edits but with 2014 debuts and notable 2014 repertoire changes (like Tom Wilhelmsen adding a cutter for example) then the ETA moves up significantly.

          Let me know.

Seanjeezy: When you release these pitch edits will it based off the OSFM 2014 OD v.1,2 or 3 (however many versions there ends up being) or will you base it off a different roster set such as the Hybrid set that Willard makes?

I don't know what everyone else does but I do like starting Franchise and RTTS with rosters as they were on Opening Day. Didn't know if we would have options or what.

Since the game was released so late I'm anxious to get going with my franchise experience. This will probably be the first year that I won't wait for osfm versions 3,4,etc.

The pitch edits can dramatically change gameplay however. Would hate to miss out on these. So if you're taking tallies, mark a vote down for the earlier eta

Quick question man, I saw that you use brooksbaseball for your edits and I've been looking thru that site and your edits, and I see differences in the velocities. I know brooksbaseball uses a different distance for measuring velocity, so how do you do yours?

Subtract .75 MPH from all pitches. For a while Brooks was in-line with MLB but they changed it back like a week later lol.

It will probably be based off of v2, which is opening day still. I won't start inputting until I update the spreadsheet though, so who knows, maybe a new(er) version will be out by then with equipment edits and stuff like that.

Sean, I'm really glad to see that you're still doing pitch edits. Thank you for your excellent work/input.

have you found this site yet seanjeezy:

it has gifs of each pitcher throwing each pitch in his repertoire

                                ie http://pitchergifs.com/nl-east/atlan...julio-teheran/

pretty cool stuff if you have any confusion left from the raw data about movement etc
