    Re: OSFM Pitch Edits 2014

    Distribution of pitch types:

    4SB: 287
    2SFB: 410
    RFB: 475
    SNK: 181
    CUT: 216
    CH: 77
    CIR: 600
    PLM: 2
    SPL: 71
    FRK: 11
    VCH: 19
    CB: 191
    12CV: 35
    SCV: 211
    KCV: 59
    SL: 549
    SLV: 78
    SCR: 3
    KN: 3

Running fastballs, circle changeups, and sweeping curves are few and far between in the default rosters, so I still feel like pitch edits are still relevant despite SCEA getting their pitch data from MLB.

Forgot about the search feature! Here is the default distribution, SCEA players only for simplicity:

    RFB: 1
    CIR: 23
    SCV: 26

Why even have RFB as an option if you're only going to assign it to one player

Remember that interview with CC where he said he was personally asked about his repertoire and only then was it accurately depicted in the game? Unless specifically noted, all pitchers will have cookie cutter repertoires due to the nature of how MLB tracks pitches.

          Jack Here:

Is this roster set REALLY necessary, though? I feel like people at SCEA are paid to do this for a living, in addition to being tracked by a comprehensive computer system. Just seems to me like the talents of the OP could be better served else well. Like re-rating actual players.

Being paid to do something for a living =/= being good at what you do for a living. Now granted SCEA is good at making The Show, but they are only as good as their data they input, which has been shown to be "cookie cutter" for pitches. While it's fair to debate the merits of one pitch classification system vs another, it's not really fair to debate what the OP should be doing with his time. That's really his prerogative.

Are these going to be based on the Hybrid rosters that released yesterday?

No, OSFM v2 is the base. However, the hybrid rosters are using my spreadsheet for their v2 so best of both worlds.

Just so I'm clear...earlier I asked if I should just follow your spreadsheet and you said yeah but some pitch types have a 1 or 2 MPH increase. Is that represented in the spreadsheet? If not what does that apply to?

Jeezy, wanna help me do the top 20-25 prospects for the upcoming 2014 draft? I found. Lot of good scouting reports with pitches and velocity for pitchers coming up and may do a different version that includes them later. Check my post out in the last gen roster section sir.

No, he has to finish these first. I kid! I kid! Awesome you are doing this again Mr Jeezy. I haven't decided who to franchise with but the M's are now in consideration in your honor.

Started inputting these numbers for my red sox in my franchise, must say they are amazing.

Only 1 question (sorry if it has been covered), but in your spreadsheet, if there's a blank in the command box what value are you using? Or have you not come up with that value yet? Thanks again!

I've been waiting and I'm sure it's going to be well worth it. He sounds like he knows exactly what he's doing. And he's already at 33% and he told me by PM he has a lot of free time coming up so they may get done in the next week or two! I was going to input these for the masses to use and didn't realize he was doing it already so I stopped lol.

Whoever mentioned hybrid roster, don't waste your time with it. Ratings are all screwed up and don't make sense at all. They pretty much butchered a very good roster in OSFM v2 and claiming it's gods gift to earth and then used seanjeezys pitch edits claiming they were their own until seanjeezy called them out on it. Just wait for these. All the right prospects, right ratings of players, and they are the opening day set so they will be great to use in franchise.
