I check in for a team countdown, last count was 15.

Yeah I just saw that! Unfortunately, from what Luhnow has indicated, Peacock is taking Cosart's rotation spot and Folty is going to the bullpen. He's nearly reached his max IP this season.

It's not a problem, but I couldn't help but notice the reverse platoon split when you posted the attributes for Preston Tucker in that giant pic. Nothing wrong with going by stats 100% for your ratings, it's just that I'm not sure that reverse platoon splits have been shown to be a skill that lasts from year to year. I linked you to that article because it showed that no left-handed MLB hitters maintained a reverse split during both the 2012 and 2013 seasons, although some guys did it in each single season. In other words, some guys might have it one year, but will generally regress back to the mean of a normal platoon split. I just thought it was interesting. It would be nice to know, for example, if Houston's MiLB parks are more conducive to hitting lefties in general due to some sort of issues with the batter's eye etc

Now that I know this, I will try to keep my posts to C only when I post in here rather than presenting some actual data and analysis.

But, is there really something wrong about asking questions about how players are rated in a roster set? At any point in time, did I say "no, Mizzou, you are doing this all wrong and you need to change this?" I don't remember doing that. I am looking forward to DL'ing this roster and comparing to the Hybrid roster that I will use...maybe we can learn from each other. I don't think he minded the question as much as you did, unfortunately.

He has done it for 3 consecutive years. Only lefty I have seen do it. Throughout the editing.

However lots of right handed guys do well against right handers. Some are even just as good on the right side.. U almost have to be to be a consistent starter.. As every guy sees way more abs vs righties. But like I said I get your point.. Just don't think I should gauge it on the fact that he's a lefty. I might up his right handed a little as in the other years it was a little closer but the only year it was real close was when he only had like 60-70 abs.

Maybe he is just a diamond lol.

Right. I find that really interesting actually is my point. It's not something you see all the time. The big question I have is, will Tucker hit lefties better throughout his career? That would be pretty interesting. As far as explaining it...maybe he struggles recognizing changeups? Lefties are generally not going to throw them to lefty hitters. Does he have a different approach against lefties that gets him into better counts? I think there could be all kinds of interesting explanations if he keeps up the split that you're seeing. Then again, give him another 2000 PA's and he could regress to the norm.
