        Re: SBFM(OS) ROSTER v1

Nfs if we're looking for feedback here or not If so heres what im seeing through a couple 2014 simmed seasons and skimming players

+Initially I thought contacts were way too high but the averages are beautiful. Batting averages nailed
-far too many homeruns, absurd ammounts we havent seen in years irl
+pitchers numbers especially strikeout totals are great
-the glaring issue is there is a record setting complete games/shutouts across the league
+++The fielding edits I can tell took a long time these are by far the most accurate fielding edits ive EVER seen. Theyre amazing are right on
-+speed edits are good for known base stealers, but guys with known speed yet dont steal are rated very poorly, I can see that it was probably on a billy hamilton to david ortiz scale. These are way off in quite a few cases, ex. Brandon phillips still runs pretty well but is a borrible base stealer he was giving a 42 speed rating.then a jay bruce a very good base stealer for his speed was nailed to a tee (54 speed 82 stealing).
+++minors leaugues are glorious they are so good from he faces to equipment to stats, the minor leagues are quite impressive. Beyond anything ive ever seen (by a wide margin).

Dont be fooled by the high contact numbers they are high for a reason (realistic stats)
so just the homers, complete games, and speed numbers are the only issues im seeing. And this is mlb only, the minor leaugues are beyond perfect.

Great job fellas I see the time that was invested, much appreciated

Homers and complete games could be addressed through sliders id imagine.

Fist dumb question of the discussion: is there a roster with just the 35-man roster in the 40-man roster? Thanks.

Mercury, I thought about that because the power edits look good but i was using tnks ssliders(power is 4). Any lower than 4 and user games wont be going yard much

I've been using his as well although I'll switch over to authentics when he posts them since he designed them around these rosters.

Just downloaded the roster and skimmed over my Astros. Though there are a few players on the team I feel are overrated/underrated, I'm extremely impressed by how accurate the ratings really are. This is literally the first roster in my MLB The Show / MLB 2K career that I feel the roster does my team justice.

I just finished skimming over all MLB teams. I'm not over-exaggerating by any means when I say this is the best looking roster I've ever seen. God I wish I could start my franchise now, but I'm going to wait until the rosters are 100% complete. But I sure as Hell will be playing some games!

Let me know if you need any help inputing edits for anything else at any time tomorrow (up until around 7pm; going to a friend's house for a party)

Hey Mizzou. I had a question regarding one player in particular who was rated a certain way, and I just wanted to ask. But before I do, I am in no way, shape, or form questioning your hard work and dedication to the rosters. I was just curious.

Former Houston Astros minor league OF Austin Wates was traded to the Marlins. He's known for his hitting ability and speed. He hit .299 for our Triple-A affiliate this season before the trade. His contact rating is something like 81 vs lefties and 70 vs righties (in bed so I'm not sure what the actual ratings are). This puts him along the top hitters in baseball on the roster. He's unproven in the ML level. Granted he is a solid hitter, I don't think he's anywhere near that rating. Why did his ratings explode to that high without playing 1 MLB game?

Skimming through the roster, this was really the only player I saw with high ratings. The rest looked great unless I missed someone. Haha

AGAIN, I'm in no way, shape, or form trying to bash your rating scale. I was just curious. The great thing about the game is I can change the ratings myself (which I will), I was just curious how you got that.

Thanks in advance for the response. You're the man!

That might be the word right there. "Calculations". An athletes speed would be very hard to peg accurately with math, formulas, calculations, etc.. Speed is probably the one attribute that wont be accurate with calculations. This is why speed and fielding are always the most off. Like I said im amazed with the fielding edit, their so good. Thats how a guy like andrelton simmons ends with a 96 ovr.
