this sounds amazing, with a full 90 man roster how deep into 1987 is really possible to go in terms of continuing into 88,89 etc? ive never tryed a 90 man set before, i usually just do 25 set?

I am really concentrating on trying to keep all the players that where in 1988 and 1989 available even if they were lower end minor leaguers in 1987. I basically hunt the minor leagues twice before releasing the final roster. I always will miss something and that's why I really appreciate you guys looking at the roster and discussing who is out and who is in and even the potential of the players. Literally by the time I am done 2,800 players will be looked at and edited. Even the generic free agents have former major leaguers in it. 2,800 players by two people. I use baseball reference, Kritters calculator, mr Jordan's rating scale, Neyer James guide to pitchers. I would love for someone to put all the ratings into an excel file so we can replicate for the future. I also love spinoff rosters so feel free to improve upon on it or even take it to the next level. I'm really excited for this 6 month odyssey to end and finally getting to enjoy these, and for everyone to enjoy them.

The NL East is done or there is more work to do on it? I was a big Expos fan so I can look at them and their ratings if you want.

Need to finish some position players tonight on NL East and West and will try to knock out the Dodgers. Ideally I want NL East and West Fully complete along with the Cardinals. That would leave Cubs, Brewers, and Pirates

Not only will I have a full fledged 30 team chise for this. I will also create myself as as a 17 year old third baseman (just like I was IRL in 1987 playing on my high school team) and place myself in the Yankees system (who can use a 3rd baseman for the future) and play a RTTS mode with this puppy.

Seriously can't wait for this incredible roster set.

Re: 1987 Full 90 Man Roster

I should have the Dodgers in and Cardinals in by tonight. It really just depends on how long the 11 month old naps for. I already have the ratings done for the pitchers on each squad. For sure this will be fully complete by next weekend. I really want to take my time with putting the finishing touches on this week and weekend. I hope for Friday but plan on Sunday. I am juggling a 12 hour day and Saturday work schedule and marriage with a pregnant wife and a 11 month old. I really appreciate that no one asked when, when, when. This will be awesome when its finally done.

Okay so the Dodgers and Cardinals are in just need to finish some position players for them as well. Milwaukee really does not have much left. So this week I just need to finish the Cubs and Pirates then update some more faces and stances/deliveries so yeah we are a go for this next weekend.

I've been thinking some more about who I will be using with these. Although I like the Braves, and they ARE still in the running, two of my favorite players were Eric Davis and Barry Bonds. I'm intrigued to see what might have become of E had he not suffered so many injuries. And a young Bonds, Bobby Bo and Van Slyke is exciting to think about. I'm ready!
