    Sorry.

Aww that sucks! Thanks for saving me time.. Well some of that lol. Guess I'll have to stick with my calcs on excel (long and gruelling manual input process) was hoping for something quicker especially with my 2nd one on the way in 3 weeks.

From what I see, those who are able to use it are lucky. Looks like a good and quick program.

I've just re-uploaded and am calling this version 1.0.

Post if you have questions. I changed the default path so the utility files will be placed in the RBU folder into the C: drive. I'm hoping this will solve the "read-only" problem some have reported which seems to stem from permissions settings on individual computers. If the problem persists, please provide feedback and I'll see what else can be done.

Thanks for all your help....finally works! I have been out all week so just got to try it. Haven't played around but just wanted to confirm your new version corrected the problem I was having. I had to do another trick to make the macro buttons work however. It appears there is a problem with an update for excel 2007 so I had to take the following steps to get the buttons to work:

"The problem is caused by a recent Office update. Here is the fix posted on http://excelmatters.com/2014/12/10/o...ivex-controls/

        To fix it, do this:

        Close all Office applications.
Do a search in Windows Explorer – make sure to include hidden and system files and folders – for *.exd files (note: that’s not *.exe !!) and delete any you find. Make sure you get these: C:\users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\Excel8.0\MSFo rms.exd C:\users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\VBE\MSForms.e xd
Reboot the computer (this is not always necessary, but probably better safe than sorry)
Restart your Office apps and test the controls again."

Actually my wife had MS Office Pro 2010 exe file in her laptop the whole time. So I was able to transfer the file online to my laptop. Installed and tried out RBU. Nice program but still doesn't satisfy my needs

I put every info from the teams/organization the players play in, including minors for all 90 players on the roster. This one still only does the MLB attributes. So back to the long *** process for me but sweet utility though. Good for historic teams for sure.

ohdannyboy 12 post is the answer. Do A( Run )Search and typed %temp%, after that look in the excel 8 folder or similar(double click) and you will find MSForms.exd EXD file and delete it and reboot your PC. BUt you can read his post to the solution site. IT WORKS.

                    Greetings.

Just uploaded a new version which contains a fix for fielding ratings. I'm very sorry to say that if you've been using career ratings then your fielding ratings were no calculated properly. They're fixed now.

                    My apologies.

I just bought a new PC and when I generate roster in the RBU it only gives me 1 player in the team drop down menu to view, I cant seem to populate an entire team in the drop down? Any suggestions? It worked great on my old PC, but on the new it doesn't?

I've not seen this before. Here are some considerations:

*Make sure you have ActiveX controls and Macros turned on, just to be certain. If you don't know how to do that, you can find directions in the .pdf instructional file, or just post here and I'll walk you through it.

*I still have no definitive feedback on how the utility is working for newer versions of Excel. I have the 2007 version. It's possible there is a compatibility issue, though I think it unlikely.

*You can package up your main utility file (RBU) with WinRAR and post it here. I'll take a look at it to see if the file is okay. In the meantime, you may want to reinstall/re-download the file and see what happens.

*Are you getting errors when running any of the macros? Any other problems that you can see? What happens when you click the search filter button? Does the problem continue?

I have the 2010 version of Excel and it works fine with it.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I should point out that I'm currently working on an update which rescales ratings based on observed distributions for the 2015 game. Some scales appear to have been altered slightly for certain ratings.

Should be finished within the next week or two.
