Just a thought because I made this mistake last year, double check weights/heights and age if you are copying over from last year. Remember to add a year to the age and some guys especially younger prospects may have put on weight

When copying over the basic info I find it's best to just start from scratch to avoid this. Positions, weight, age, etc change year-to-year so I have found it best to just not copy those over at all and do them again for each player.

For those who want to get an early jump on things and would like to see these rosters sooner than later - build your roster now on 14 - I will help anyone who needs it to transfer over to 15 once it comes out. I have the Blue Jays almost done already. Also guys, please try your best to create 100-105 player rosters to give us replacements for released players or trades. As well please try your best to cover off all AAA players. Prospects are great but not rosters full of guys who won't see the majors in the next 5 years.

I'd encourage all the OSFM team roster creators to take a look at the latest Hybrid Roster (Hybrid Offseason in the Vault by PSN: ohtheseblues) to see which players can already be checked off their lists. The faces in this roster are last year's OSFM with touch ups. Lots of work will be saved if we can just copy those guys right in and leave the creating faces from scratch for players that really need it/weren't part of OSFM 2014.

I am new to the Show and a casual baseball fan so would be of no help to this project. However, I just want to say thank you to everyone involved in putting this together.

Last year was my first year of the show and I used the OSFM Hybrid set. The gameplay was incredible and the amount of work that went into the project is astonishing.

Another thought to keep in mind when editing pitchers:

When a scouting report says that a pitcher can hit 98mph, you shouldn't make the speed rating at 98mph. There is a plus/minus of 3mph. So, if a report says the pitcher top out at 98, you'd want to set the speed at 95mph.

Just something to keep in mind.

Okay MLBTS brethren.......once again....it's time for the creation of the Operation Sports Full Minors roster.

While basically....things will be the same as usual....we are also going to be creating the Hybrid set in conjunction with the stock O.S.F.M.
The Hybrid set is usually one that Willard76 and teeds(both editors for the O.S.F.M. as well) work on after helping complete the stock O.S.F.M.
Both take on quite a bit of work for the original set before tackling an equally tough job in creating the Hybrid.
This year....we will facilitate this by working on both at the same time instead of waiting one for the other.
The minor league players created for each set will be the same.....the only real difference is that Willard76 and teeds will import them onto the updated SCEA players....while Ridin' will import them into the "stock" O.S.F.M.

This is fortuitous for all of us this year as it will cut down on some time for the Hybrid crew....and with me being extremely busy at work this year(and next likely).....I will have to take on a much smaller role in the editing process this year.
HOPEFULLY.....this year will be the last that any roster creator has to create an entire roster from scratch.
Ramone hinted that year to year roster carry over might be a possibility.
I will keep on him about that this year.

We will need as many editors as possible again....and I would like to thank in advance those that contribute year after year. Your work is much appreciated not only by myself and Ridin'....but from the amount of downloads and rating approval...the MLBTS community en masse.
You guys do a great job and I'm really looking forward to seeing great end products once again!

We def need consistency with the milb players, some organizations were overrated. I think we have to be careful with overall rating numbers as the number is affected by specific attributes... It is possible for a slick fielding SS in AA to be a MLB caliber fielder. When I import each team I will review each team and if there is an issue we will look at it. Again as Knight said there will be the Stock OSFM along with the hybrid set. We need to get each organization done and then we can do the tweeks.

I would recommend that those working on their teams begin research now. If you take a team please make sure you can do it, last year we had a bunch that said they could and just disappeared on us.

I can tackle contracts. I'll start making a list now using Cot's, but will need to wait until after 3/1 to see all the arbitration results and pre-arb raises/extensions etc..
