I was wondering with the game dropping next Tuesday about how long will it take to get the hybrid roster out? Are we looking at mid summer or sooner.

P.S. after I get done with my criminolgy homework I can help put the numbers into the roster of you need the help?

For the Hybrid rosters I'd rather McCutchen be left alone. There will be so much lost by having a CAP replace him, a franchise player like him already has so many dedicated lines from the commentary crew that it would be a shame to lose them just to get a player model with no hair.

He could always be a downloadable option though, that I won't mind. I'd prefer to play my franchise with the original McCutchen though.

I get the whole authenticity issue, but I would never want a CAP to replace a San Diego made player unless there was some major issues beyond aesthetic. The dreads to me aren't a huge deal considering what you give up just to remove them.

Anyways just to make sure, the main crew wants the individual teams to use the ratings they came up with? At least for the base, but individual team editors can change ratings at their discretion, with the caveat that it'll get looked over again by the main OSFM crew when iomporting.

Ya I agree that McCutchen should be left the same for the rosters. Motown did a great job with Cutch's face, I was just trying to see how close I could get career stats and service time so people could have the option. I guess I failed with that, lol. Oh well.

I did make another attempt with better results, still not good enough though.

Yeah, there's no chance at all that CAP McCutchen will feature in the OSFM or the Hybrid rosters.

That said, Mo did a great job with the CAP and tree3five did a nice job putting proper service time and getting close stats. Pirates fans who are especially OCD about how Cutch looks (and there are a lot of them) can have the option to use the CAP in their own personal rosters after DL'ing.

Nothing that comes in game in regards to SCEA created players will be replaced or changed for the OSFM, and for the Hybrid only editable options will be changed, we won't be replacing or deleting any players unless they have announced their retirement.

I do like the option of having a great CAP like McCutchen that we can use to replace if guys would like, but our sets will not officially contain them - I know I have thought about doing the same for a few players who look horrible.

As for ratings, we want everyone to use the spreadsheet, but will grant each creator some room to alter if they feel the need. Some ratings on that sheet for lower level prospects were taken from last year's game and can use an update. All we ask is to try and stick with the ratings for AAA or MLB ready players.

Is this a list of players you are working on? Or just a list of players with service time? A few of these guys on your list are already in MLB 15.

The list is all players we had done. Obviously if they are in the game we will use the game version. I was creating without knowledge of who would be in.

I'm baffled as well cause Beachy, Medlen, Johnson, Beckham should all be there. They all accumulated service time last season while on the DL. There is still a possibility they could be added with the Launch Day roster update (3/31), but until then we won't know for sure. We can prep for it now just in case.

I checked again, players missing. There is a Chad and Jim Beckham in the
minor leagues.

I thought I heard there were separate speed sliders for the infielders and outfielders. I don't see that.

I do see separate sliders for errors/arm strength

Polanco steals second. Safe by a mile, called out. Replayed it a few times, different angles. This was something that needed tightening in last years game. We'll see.

There is a launch day patch so some of this will get cleaned up according to Ramone. If sliders are missing chances are they are being added Via Patch.

I have a question about players with service time who aren't in the MLB 15 roster:

I'll use Brendan Harris as an example. In MLB 14 Harris is an SCEA created player. If he is included in the franchise file that I pull into MLB 15, would he still show up in that MLB 15 franchise? If so, I could just export him and use him in the OSFM roster set.

Hey guys im not to tech savvy. But with people transferring over the rosters from MLB 14 and taking out guys who made the bigs editing ratings ect.. wouldnt that mean that it wont take nearly as long to release the rosters? I know alot of work still has to be done. But usually it takes anywhere from 3-4 weeks. I know for hybrid it is different as there is alot more rating to adjust but im speaking on OSFM in particular.

Also, is there anyway to see a spreadsheet on what the OSFM prospects will be rated? Just curious thanks.

According to one of the guys who has the game, any SCEA player no longer in the game get replaced with a fake player.

Basically we are taking the time away by copying. Normally we need to recreate a face every year as well as all the edits- used to take me min 40 mins to create an easy player before.
