Colon doesn't need service time. He's already in 15

I'm referring to Roman Colon the pitcher, not Christian.

          I come in peace.

Guys, I think imposing an Easter Sunday deadline is a mistake. It's too sudden and came out of nowhere. People are working hard on their teams (I have no teams myself, but have a decent idea of progress being made), but this will likely get you teams in various stages of completion and make more work for everyone down the line (more mistakes for you and us Hybrid people to fix later). I would urge rolling back this new deadline altogether and playing it by ear as to when people are ready to submit their teams. If there are some holdouts, then a deadline would make sense. At the very least, I would postpone by 1 or 2 weeks to give people time to finish (and add in equipment). Not trying to stir the pot and I realize that coordinating this project is a lot of work, but I am just posting what I feel like some roster creators are probably feeling/thinking upon reading this new thread. Nobody wants to use an OSFM that's riddled with errors from being rushed.

I am going to work on Service Time pitchers tonight and tomorrow guys. I don't know how many I will get done, but will get as many as possible before 15 releases.

Just one suggestion for guys of what I do and I think Motown does when creating a face, something we never had the option really until this year - there is a full roster of CAPs to use as a base for a face that you just need to tweak instead of creating from scratch.

Guys, I know first hand what kind of work will be going into the Hybrid. I will be doing a bunch of it myself and also know what kind of work goes into the initial roster - again I did 2 teams this year myself.

In past years before this, I always had the Jays done in little over a week from release and that was working from scratch. This year the work is pretty much done for everyone - unless guys are deciding to start from scratch.

WTNY and teeds has given everyone the ratings, faces are there minus the odd new additions, and guys can enter their info from 14 if they haven't already.

I think the deadline is realistic and if you are going to fall behind we are asking guys to be forthcoming to myself and Ridin.

Nobody likes starting a franchise in June or even early May. That is the point of the deadline. It allows us to organize our workload of importing and setting up 30 teams.

Right now the goal is 2 versions.

The base OSFM and the Hybrid

We understand that there will probably end up being a second of each while we wait for your great work with pitch edits.

But for users who don't want pitch edits our goal is to have the first release of each close to gold standard in my mind

Cool, just wanted to make sure I didn't have to have the pitch edits done by next week since I'm still in wait and see mode re: dynamic pitch breaks.

                      Edit:

And also for all of the editors - when doing ratings make sure to pro rate to 650 PA's

We will start with last year's info for the first sets. Hopefully it is not changed much other than true movement to stuff like splitters and 4seamers etc

We need to get on the same page here. We ran our tests for 600 PA's. Why 650?

Guys I cant emphasize how easy it is if you take 14's set update your ratings off the spreadsheet and next week do your equip when 15 is out.... Honestly it would take me in the past a day to do a team, it literally now should take a couple hours max before equipment

Re: OSFM & Hybrid 2015-Guidelines/Plans(Roster makers)

I would like to echo WTNY's thoughts. I'm working on getting all the info/ratings into '14 right now and should be done tomorrow or Tuesday. However, I then have another guy working on equipment beginning Tuesday, and a third guy working on stances beginning Tuesday. Plus, I'm hoping to find another guy who can do the faces for the guys who aren't in '15.

That's just a lot of moving parts to coordinate over the course of just a few days. Not to mention that they've tweaked the progression system, so I need to run some sims to double check the ratings/potentials. Also, I believe they changed how they calculate OVR, so someone with a 75 POT in '15 will become a better player than a 75 POT in '14. I'd like to be able to make sure I'm getting the correct results before I hand it in.

Even if the deadline was just moved back three days or so until Wednesday, I would feel a lot more confident about the quality of work I'm submitting. I don't think having one week to work on it after launch is too unreasonable.

                                Thanks for your consideration.
