However, I'd have to politely decline on a collaboration as I have my hands full working on my roster project right now and don't have any time to work on another project. In other words, if you can use the data I've already posted, then go for it, but I'm not going to be much help if it's more involved than that whether it's producing formulae or consulting etc..
That's good enough for me, thanks for the green light. I've included a link to this thread on the OP of my thread. Not sure when I'll have the time to combine, but at least people will now get directed to this from my thread. Thanks again.

Just played my first game with the pitch edits and they really make the game more enjoyable. Played Tanaka vs Dickey ultimately losing 4 - 1. Tanaka pitched pretty well just got burned by a few Yankee Stadium HRs. I had no problem getting strikeouts which I saw some people thought may be a concern.

One thing I can say for sure is Dickey is not a fun AB lol. Only negative thing that I noticed was that Dickey throws that knuckleball for a very high % of strikes. This may have been more so to the fact that he dominated me out of the gate and his confidence went through the roof than the actual control rating. Would have to face him again to really be able to judge it.

All in all love the edits great job

Curious what #s classic pitching guys are using for the above?

Definitely noticed the control issue pitching with Harvey last night... 3 BBs in the 1st inning on OD.

4 for both control and consistency.

How is the control with those numbers? Using itbeme's sliders I had those numbers at 1!

            Curious on numbers for:

            CPU Consistency
            CPU Strike Frequency

The 'control issue' with Harvey? lol

3 of his 5 pitches are rated above 90 in control after pitch edits...I don't think it's an issue with the pitch edits. I'd check your sliders/difficulty first and then your approach second.

I consider myself proficient with Classic pitching so the numbers seem pretty fine to me. I use Armor & Sword's sliders.

                Strike frequency at 4 too.

I'd prefer that we didn't turn this thread into a slider thread. If you have lots of questions, it might be a good idea to start a slider thread where you can make observations and share info and ask these types of questions.

Haha... WTNY I wasn't bashing ur edits at all, it was definitely my sliders for Human Pitch sliders being at 1.

Sorry I should have been more clear... I love the edits, so much more realistic!!

No worries. I was just stepping in to make sure that the thread didn't spiral out of control with a bunch of off topic slider talk. I also didn't want people to get the idea that you can't control pitches ever seeing that some people on OS will believe everything they read in posts, which would then feed into more questions and more speculations. Everyone should make their own judgments for how the pitch edits play with their own styles/interfaces and not believe that 1 size fits all.

Just randomly select a pitcher on the spreadsheet to choose his repertoire...then lower movement and control pretty much across the board? And of course make sure the changeup vs fastball pitch speed's gap isn't too high.

I am curious about this as well. And how far down into MiLB do these edits go? I understand there is a lack of data for the MiLB pitchers but is there anything we need to be aware of with these pitchers? Will they start being better in the future due to not having been rerated?

I lowered all SP age 25 and younger -5 potential before the season. Ran some test sims and had great numbers thru 2020. Appears the drafted pitchers' potential is okay.

Only SP on roster already. I will figure out some way to editbdrafted pitchers' repertoires and such though. Long ways from there, just reached May in my franchise playing every game.

Take a look at the spreadsheet linked in post 1...that tells you the pitchers that get edits. I'd also recommend reading the FAQ if you have yet to do so..it answers a lot of the questions you might think of before you think of them and allows me to answer questions a single time rather than several times.

I'd appreciate if you started a new thread for any edits that you plan on doing and the discussion that goes with that. This thread is only about pitch edits to major league pitchers. People worrying about the ramifications of what happens to minor league pitchers...well that's a separate issue that nobody can answer without doing more testing (but, to be honest, I think people are making it the elephant in the room when it's not that big of a deal/has nothing to do with pitch edits/was already an issue before pitch edits). A project like that needs it's own thread.
