Re: 2015 OSFM REVISION ROSTER v1 - Released
The game sets the budget number arbitrarily to $10M over the current salary at the start of the franchise. For the reasoning you'd have to ask SCEA. I'd imagine it's to give everyone a little wiggle room to wheel and deal early on.Comment

Re: 2015 OSFM REVISION ROSTER v1 - Released
Can you please explain the positives and negatives of "ignore budget"?
Wouldnt this just allow me to sign anyone I want in an unrealistic manner?
I do not use 30 team control so and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Comment

Re: 2015 OSFM REVISION ROSTER v1 - Released
hey guys first time, long time here. I was curious if anyone is going to put together an Opening Day roster with all the new attribute, equipment, facial, etc. edits that everyone worked so hard to do. I was really looking forward to starting a season with the correct and accurate real life rosters and let the transactions, injuries, etc. occur organically throughout the season.

Yes it would allow you to do that but there are some people saying that the real contracts is screwing up budgets down the road.
Positives:
Real contracts work
Negatives:
Can sign everyone for ridiculous contracts.
Different FA's then w/o because teams can most of their good FAs.Last edited by redsox4evur; 06-01-2015, 09:31 PM.Comment

Prior to the season, I remember looking at their roster and thinking to myself, "Hey, Houston has some pretty good players".
I should've put some money on them hahaComment

Depends on when they start and if your game is still going on when they do.Comment

I think they need maybe one or two vets. I would say one in the bullpen and the other on the bench. Chemistry is every thing when you are young. Vets can control the clubhouse and that will help on the field.PSN: Dreamchaser_865

That is the reality of some baseball teams anyway, really it comes down to your own integrity. Same applies with trades. With 30 team control you can trade for whoever you want and technically give whatever you want. It comes down to what you want out of the Franchise experience.
I am guessing a few weeks. He has to backtrack all the moves made the last 2 months.

I think they're pretty spot on. Relievers are meant to be erratic. There's only a handful of elite, automatic guys out there, and even they choke from time to time. Makes you miss Mariano Rivera, but it's the truth.Comment

Re: 2015 OSFM REVISION ROSTER v1 - Released
Others prefer playing a completely different universe where they do not control anything but their team.
I fall into the second group.
I use Force Trades for my team so that I can reverse any trades that I feel are ridiculous.
I only make trades that are even value for my team and the opposing team (or trades that would give more value to the opponent, but I would rarely want to do that). You will see a meter prior to making any trade.
Free agency is better this way since I do not have to assign players to teams and such. I can just go out and do my own thing.
Worst case scenario, I trade some people back to their team.
I really just prefer seeing the Franchise File with only one team instead of it saying "Orioles, Yankees, Red Sox, etc..."Comment
