Oh man, I lost my franchise to a post game auto save freeze, and was going to crank up another this weekend, but now you're dangling an update out there. Decisions decisions.

I have been working on the update daily. Loosely aiming at the trade deadline which may bring on a reboot of my franchise.

It will include updated transactions, added all SCEA updated players added in, I plan on looking around for face upgrades where I need them or can find them and I will look into updating some ratings if I can figure out how. I may also look at upgrading some pitch edits as well.

Ratings updated will be done at my discretion and only for older players who really seem to be on the downside of their career or players who are poised to out perform their original projections.

I don't have the solid hours to just bang stuff out so some patience will be required

So it's not going to be a huge rating change undertaking. I can live without the cosmetic changes, and many of the over performing guys I've already changed. But ill probably still start over when you do it even still.

The big thing for me is having the proper SCEA added update players in so if I choose to continue my franchise next year they actually will carry into the face scanned players.

Huh, didn't know that. In any case, I have a ps3, so that won't be an issue haha. Hopefully I can manage a ps4 sometime this year or next.

Willard, I am very interested in the next update to these sliders and I am trying to decide between starting a chise with your's or WTNY's next iteration.

Would you mind telling me the main differences between your roster and WTNY's? I tried figuring it out by looking at the notes and quickly got confused.

(Sorry if this has already been answered, feel free to direct me if so)

              Thanks

                Thanks

I have a lot of respect for the work tweeds and WTNY have done and honestly was tempted to use their roster myself, very tempted.

What swayed me into doing an update on the Revision instead came down to a few things, I literally spent a day going through their roster and the Revision debating pros and cons.

First off, I am very proud of the work we did on this roster and the corrections made to faces, equipment plus a few minor intangibles. I may ask tweeds for permission to use a few of his faces where I feel his work out does the current player in our roster, in essence going back to the original concept of the old Hybrid (I have also added faces of players by some other great creators in our community)

Secondly was the SCEA models - so players either removed or added in updates. The roster that we used as a base for the Revision in my opinion had the least important players missing. I have also added all players added by SCEA to this point - so the 130 or so players who made their MLB debuts this year will transform into the actual SCEA face scan model in The Show 16, for guys who will be continuing their Franchises next year. Simply we used different updates as our base therefore will have different players missing. They also did not put as much concern into putting the update players in.

Third will be slightly different ratings. While WTNY was the man who created the ratings and pitch edits for both rosters, they did some updates to their roster that never made ours. I do plan on updating pitchers because I truly love how true his edits play out in the game, but I also after playing a quarter of a season am very happy with our current ratings, with some tweaks coming here and there to players who are overachievers and will surpass initial projections.

Fourth, this release will be a fully updated transaction roster where they are releasing an opening day version.

Contracts I am currently on the fence with either going accurate or remaining with the contracts that were in my v1.3 release. I will update later on this.

Basically I believe both rosters will be very close to each other with the major differences listed above. Really what it comes down to IMO is what is important to each user in their current gameplay and possibly moving into next year.

I really felt I wanted these corrections made in my personal roster for my franchise and decided to make it a project to share with the OS and Shownation community, similar to going back to my roots with the Original Hybrid.

Sounds like this is going to be awesome. I haven't read the whole thread but my main question is whether this roster will include any of the players who were just drafted?

Also just to clarify on your previous post, are you trying to have the trade deadline updates done and posted right around the trade deadline day, or will it still be a few days, weeks, etc. afterwards? Not trying to be even the slightest bit pushy because I'm sure you have plenty of personal things that take priority as we all do, just curious what kind of timing you have in mind. If you get it close and need/want help with anything let me know and I'm happy to pitch in when I can.

Thanks for all the hard work on this it is definitely much appreciated!

My goal is right around the Trade Deadline, that said, it is taking me a lot longer to get caught up with transactions then I had originally thought.

As for Draft picks, probably not only because it is really tough to get ratings on guys until after they have played a bit in the minors. We shall see though.

On the draft prospects could use stats from June/July to Sept. 1 as a baseline or is that not enough?

Personally I don't think that would be enough to make it worth the effort. I think the only way to add them now would be find some from the player vault and get the overall ratings in line with guys drafted in similar slots last year (generally speaking).

I might end up doing that once the roster is released post-trade deadline, but only for the first rounders I can find in the vault.
