Yeah its all good. Those age problems likely occurred when I imported those players over from last years game. I did the updated base roster by myself so they got caught in the shuffle evidently. Already working on next years set...so let me know any other ideas!
No good roster out (IMO). Hopeful for 2016.

I love your roster, but yeah the age thing bothers me. Thats just my thing though, most people including yourself don't care about the age thing. I just cant get past it - my own problem. I just hope that next year for OSFM we can maybe delay the release and work harder on it as a larger group effort.Comment

Cool. I do think there needs to be discussion on potential ratings. Maybe we can use minorleagueball as a reference. Here is an example to maybe follow: http://www.minorleagueball.com/2015/...pects-for-2016
That site creates top 20 prospects for every team and will release the ratings for the rest of the teams for 2016 before The Show comes out in late March. Why not base the OSFM roster on those ratings? Needs to be a good balance of ratings by scouts on websites like that and by fans of the team.Comment

Re: No good roster out (IMO). Hopeful for 2016.
The problem is that fans of teams almost always think that their players and prospects are better than they actually are. And just because somebody is in the majors or borderline majors doesn't mean their overall has to be good or even decent. Sometimes it is solely based on service time, or one particular skill set, etc, as to why they were called up.

Re: No good roster out (IMO). Hopeful for 2016.
Things like potential are subjective. What bothers me about the original post is the focus on overall and the fact that it doesn't take long to edit potentials or ages yourself. Get the overalls out of your head. It is not the be all end all rating on how good a player is - heck, it is affected by changing the primary position. Look at the other ratings. These determine how well a player will fit into your team. A 90 overall doesn't mean you'll hit 30 dingers, but a 90 PWR rating does...Comment

I'm not a huge franchise player so I'm not really concerned if a 28 year old reliever in AA is actually 29 in real life, sure I would like them to be all 100% but I just don't have the time.
All I'm concerned with in my sets are accurate ratings and potentials. All ratings are stats based and I'm happy with my potential scale I have. All pitch edits are accurate and it's a good representation of real life and how players compare to each other.
Sorry your dissapointed.Comment
