Can't beleive Christian Vazquez isnt in the game he was on the DL last year in March, they will have all fake names in year to year guess we export them and rename them and all? would they have the correct stats doing it that way?

I think it's only fair for y'all to make rating edits to players on the 40-man roster. SCEA usually rates players lower than what they should be, knowing they can just update them later in the game. But for OSFM created players, they're usually not in line with SCEA players. For example, a young prospect who's played a few games in the MLB, will be on the 40-man but rated significantly lower than he would be if OSFM had created him. Just my opinion. Any thoughts?

OSFM never adjusts SCEA created players as several users don't want those players touched. Willard's hybrid roster goes through each player (MLB and MiLB) and rerates them though.

I disagree with the premise that SCEA rates players too low...in fact, I see it the opposite where OSFM players seem reasonable for the most part (some teams are consistently inflated--I can think of 2-3 from last year specifically--but the majority of the teams are usually very good from that standpoint) and the SCEA players have historically been slightly overpowered (at least in the present and near future of franchise mode)...too many 90+ OVR for my tastes generally speaking. Ultimately it's a matter of perspective and mostly aesthetic, I suppose, due to in-game sliders being able to correct for certain things.

Moreover, ratings are editable. I never will understand why people want to convince others to change ratings to their liking for certain players, when they can just do it themselves without having to have/win an argument. The issue is that people want OSFM to be the end-all/be-all but that's not possible. There are too many diverse opinions and a lot of bias from fans of their respective teams.

For an online franchise where you can't go in a change the roster unless you're the commissioner, then it makes sense to want all ratings on the same level. For example, Max Kepler of the Twins has a C potential and he's ranked top 40 prospects. And then you go to the Pirates thread and it looks like Austin Meadows will have an A potential. And both players have similar scouting ranks in real life. That's all I'm saying. I don't mind the SCEA ratings if OSFM had the same basis.
