re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2016 (No ETA as of 4/6, please don't ask for one)
He shouldn't be an A potential, in the last SCEA update they addressed the potentials of young players because they were unrealistic, too many A's just because they were top prospects, in Sano's case his power should be elite but his batting avg will probably be between .270-.280 and his defense is below average, he crearly isn't a 90 OVR.Comment

Operation Sports Full Minors 2016
We don't know, those were their potentials at the end of the 2015 season, remember that all those players will be SCEA players in 2016 so i assume they wouldn't be touched by the OSFM guys.

So on last years last SCEA roster Max Kepler was a C potential, I've seen on the Pirates thread that Austin Meadows is an A- potential... On all the prospects rankings Kepler has abilities like meadows. Isn't it a little unfair that Kepler has to stay as SCEA rating while meadows is giving a huge boostComment

I get where he's coming from. Like a player that's coming from a SCEA roster is likely gonna get a lower potential rating than if he was created by OSFM. Like they won't line up potential wise. I kinda agree OSFM should take a look at SCEA player potentials to make it in sync with what their created players look likeComment

I agree, people tend to get biased just because some players are top prospects on their team but that doesn't mean that they have to be A potential, some players are considered top prospects because they are MLB ready and not necessarily because they have superstar potential, others have talent but also have major flaws that will probably prevent them from reaching their full potential, at the start of the year SCEA was giving most of the top prospects A pot but then changed to a more realistic approach, for example Sano was A pot but they changed him to B (88) because even if he reaches his offensive potential his low batting avg and fielding will likely prevent him from being a 90 OVR, Yasmany was also an A just because he got a lot of money but in reality he's a bad fielder, runner and still hasn't shown the elite bat so the B(82) SCEA gave him later is acceptable. We have to keep in mind the players strengths/weaknesses and start giving more B's and less A's because if we check just a few MLB players are 90 OVR and above and SCEA noticed it.

Traditionally, there are very few A's in the OSFM set. I don't think they put an exact number on it, but usually you are only talking about the top 20 or so prospects that deserve an A, and many of those will actually be in the game already.Comment
