Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2016 (No ETA as of 4/6, please don't ask for one)
I have to thank WTNY and Teeds. Their roster was used as the base when I got everything together in 15 to transfer to 16 for Willard and company.Comment

That was exactly the intention teeds and I had in sinking weeks/months of fact/error checking...spelling, ht/wt, pos, country of origin, handedness, audio name, equipment, faces...quality control stuff last cycle. With carryover ability/the CPU roster control 'exploit', you can actually get a jump on the next year by having a slick roster this year if that makes sense.
Teeds did hundreds of facial edits (probably over 1000 actually)...and on and on to OSFM last year...if there was something to edit, we took a look at it last cycle...even stuff like pitcher running speed.
Your (Knight/Ridin/Willard/ShowTyme/Motown...) approach should add some more uniformity to the set of MiLB players in OSFM this year although the SCEA players are a whole new ballgame obviously...so our equipment edits and other edits obviously won't stick for the SCEA guys, which is fine by you all since the OSFM is intended to have stock SCEA players anyway.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Thanks for the shout and I am glad to hear it.

You guys did great work, it adds a whole new level. Thanks for all you do and did.Follow me on Twitter: twitter.com / @RidinRostersComment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2016 (No ETA as of 4/6, please don't ask for one)
First of all, I am a diehard fan of your work. My buddy and I play hundreds of Franchises a year (just simulating and playing the role of GMs) and they would not be special if it was not for your work. Thank you so much.
I have a question about the SCEA players. I have read that their are some players in the game that are Face Scans and they have been slowly acquiring these scans every spring training. I also remember reading in the past that the SCEA players are not editable (maybe not true, I apologize if I am mistaken.) Is there some way that these players are coded that would not allow for face scan updates during the year a la NBA Live has done? There are a few players that have not seen adjustment that look TERRIFYING (ie. Kyle Hendricks on the Chicago Cubs). He is one of my favorite players, but I am so disappointed when I use him in the game and he looks like a mutant. How do these rosters address that?
Sorry for the book. If this is the wrong place for these questions, please let me know where I should go. Thanks again!

But doesn't doing this take away any commentary lines for him?Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

The only thing I noticed in commentary that it effects is what they say about him
In regards to Hendricks the 1st game he pitched it said he had a bad year prior (when I simmed season his stats were bad) and they are surprised hes still in the rotation.
On the good side they no longer called him a rookie and he won his 1st start this year and the announcer said after a solid first start he looks to rebound from the poor year he had.Comment

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors 2016 (No ETA as of 4/6, please don't ask for one)
Been talking with Knight and going back through this thread so I will give you guys a little more detail on what's going on:
We used the first SCEA update from the games release day as the base for the set. All teams and prospects are coming from a combination of places, some newly created, most from the work showtyme did with Teeds and WTNY's roster as well as Willards hybrid and the last OSFM that was released. That's a lot of sources! Way more than in the past. All ratings have been updated to reflect current prospects status and based off projections. Contracts have been edited for MLB players where needed, example a lot of the Cuban players contracts were way off, also contract extensions like Polancos have been updated. Equip and stances are also being worked on when needed, any suggestions on equip or stances post in the appropriate thread please.
Please understand this is a MASSIVE undertaking every year and even though I have done the importing and ratings for years and years it still is a process. Knight, Willard and the gang are feverishly busting out caps and service time guys as we go. As I stated before it is a long process and we won't rush it out or short change it just to get it out quicker.... That's not to say that there won't be corrections or errors, there will be like any other year but I do think there will be a lot less this year for V1. As I told Knight earlier we are approximately 50% complete.... That's my best guesstimate right now, with lots of work pending to do.... It's moving faster now than it was when we first got going but we have no time table as of yet... When we do Knight will update you here or I will update you on my Twitter as well as OS feed. Thanks guys for the patience it will be well worth it

I don't think that is correct and I believe the game came out earlier in spring training last year. I could be wrong though.Comment
