It affects trade logic. Gives teams huge budget room in subsequent seasons when high priced guys come off and since team budget is higher to start the 15% increase is an additional increase to budgets.

Salaries do not escalate by the cpu signing.

This includes the 40-man roster, too. After two weeks of play, there are now some players new to their respective team's 40-mans (to fill a gap after someone's been DFA or put on the 60-day or Restricted List).
I would assume it's not 100% accurate. People have different priorities when it comes to having their own franchise. Certain people want Opening Day to be as close to accurate as possible; others want to make room for younger players in the minors due to a veteran being DFA'd in the first couple of weeks of the season.

I noticed Michael Morse and Dustin McGowan were free agents on OSFM V1 even though they technically were on the Pirates and Marlins Opening Day rosters, respectively, for the first two weeks. Ariel Pena was the LR for the Brewers, then cleared waivers and is now in the minors, off the 40-man. James Russell DFA'd, too.

I, like you, care about those players being on their respective Opening Day rosters because of OCD reasons, but other people don't. Beggars can't be choosers!

Thanks to Roster Resource and Baseball Reference, I'm going to at least try to take the great work everyone did on OSFM and try to make my 30-team franchise the way I want it to. If not, oh well. I don't know why Pittsburgh had Morse on their team anyway? With Jaso and Rodriguez, he seemed redundant from the start.

In the meantime, I'm practicing better plate discipline! It's been a while since I played a Show game and those breaking balls still ruin me.

Yeah, I know it's likely not gonna be perfect. I just wonder if that is even the intention, to be pretty close.

Since I am a Braves fan, and that is who I'm playing and controlling in my franchise, I do make sure their rosters are perfect. I feel like I know that whole organization like the back of my hand now, what with as much as I've been keeping track of everything the past three weeks (in anticipation of doing this) lol

It's been said this isn't an Opening Day set and has up to date transactions..

As for DFA players, there's a chance they could still be sent to AAA or traded for another player so may want to consider keeping them on the team.

Which in itself is mind boggling. I'm only 2 games in but career stats are all off and badly and everyone is hitting their first HR of their career. I can restart and not have to do too much but my time is valuable so even though its only 2 games its still not a very appealing idea. If this was there since 2014 I fail to see how they couldn't have found the culprit for it and fixed it already.

Just noticed the Astros SCEA equipment edits I sent y'all after I was asked to do them didn't make it into the roster. That's a real shame. I spent hours on those edits. Lol

I get your time might be valuable, but it literally takes less than 5 minutes to do the workaround.

Ohh I get that, I'm not saying that it takes a lot of time to achieve I just wish I knew I needed to do it prior to starting, for that matter I wish I knew the glitch even existed prior. Anyways, thanks to the guys working on these rosters, I genuinely appreciate it.
