For myself being 10 years old in 1980 these rosters bring back so many baseball memories for me. It is like my old baseball cards coming to life. I would be glad to upload this set if anyone is interested though I will take no credit for just porting them. I have went through and tried to add equipment to every player I may have missed some. It may not be what they actually used but looks better than the generic anyway. These are the teams I put together for this set.

    AL East
    1983 Orioles
    1986 Red Sox
    1985 Yankees
    1985 Blue Jays

    AL Central
    1983 White Sox
    1985 Indians
    1984 Tigers
    1985 Royals
    1987 twins

    AL West
    1986 Angels
    1989 A's
    1985 Mariners
    1985 Rangers
    1986 Astros

    NL East
    1982 Braves
    1981 Expos
    1986 Mets
    1980 Phillies

    NL Central
    1984 Cubs
    1985 Reds
    1982 Brewers
    1985 Pirates
    1982 Cardinals

    NL West
    1981 Dodgers
    1984 Padres
    1989 Giants

Thanks again to all the roster guys out there for the work you do to make this game better and better every year!!
Hey, thanks so much for the kind words. As Don said,(doncropper) much of this was built on the back of David's work (RWings832). Don, David and I used the same rating system using JTommy's roster building utility. Knight's work melds in extremely well with these rating as his work seems to have that same feel. Thanks for pulling together the 80's as I'll definitely download these. Check back for more rosters as I have two more sets to update. Hope to have them done in early March. For me, the classic rosters are the best as I'm very nostalgic about my baseball. My fandom began in the early 70's. Peace!

Been struggling to find a good Historic Roster. I'm looking for accurate, little to no current players unless it's obvious they belong) and accurate ratings.

What is the best All-Time Classic Legends roster?

I'll throw my hat in here and add ALL Franchise V 4.0 by SC73Ray. I have retooled this set and have only used live ball era players as some of the players in the original set went back to the 1890s. I can post it giving SC73Ray full credit of course.

boston, these rosters are awesome! I finally upgraded to a PS4 late last year, mostly for this game. Work has been busy, so I'm just finally getting to dive deeper into the game (a little late, right?).

Is there any chance you could upload your Sensational 70's roster to the roster vault? Or is that a franchise file you saved using rosters from an earlier version of The Show that you imported to MLB16?

The 70's were my favorite era of baseball, and I wonder if there are some teams in your roster that I won't find anywhere else in the vault. For instance, I'm sure somebody's roster in the vault probably has them, but I haven't been able to find the 79 Orioles. I would love to replay that 1979 WS.

I've got the '79 Orioles for ya. They will be uploaded as an update to my last two sets along with the '78 Dodgers and '76 Mets. The Sensational 70s project was brought over to MLB 16 as a continued season so there is not roster to download per say. If I get a chance, I may upload the remaining teams but it wouldn't happen until I update my last two sets. Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoy them!

Ah, that's what I was afraid of. But I'll definitely be looking out for those updates. Any teams from the 70's you can add would be much appreciated!

I saw one post how to play teams in different rosters against each other but didn't quite understand. Can someone provide a step by step on how to do this?

                      Great rosters and nice work.

What you have to do is pick a roster as a base roster. So then you would have some of the teams you wish to use in either a season or playoffs. If you want teams from a different roster added, you must go into that roster and export the players manually one by one to the PS4 console. Then you load your base roster and import them. Hope this helps.

You mean the scorecard? You'd love it, Don. It's an app I have for my ipad and phone for scoring the games. Very easy to use. After you finish scoring the game, it sends out the scorecard and all the stats you see on the page underneath as an email. Check it out > http://iscoresports.com/baseball/training.php . The scorecard is a pdf that you can share through Google Drive. I just copy and paste the stats from my email to my page.

It really is nice ....... but ironically --- since I started working with computers in the '60s and eventually retired from IBM some 40+ years later as a heavy duty technical guy ....... I refuse to even touch a smart phone these days ......... I, however, still have my flip phone for traveling emergencies purposes only ! I really don't want to spend the rest of my life looking down !
