Power got scaled down by SCEA this year. But it wasn't lowered a lot. Posey's power sucked last year. Go look at his ISO splits and that will tell you.

Speed is VERY subjective. I didn't create the numbers only the formulas to translate the numbers. It's based on Fangraphs scouting. They've done it for years. They aren't perfect, but they are pretty solid. You can always raise things like speed and arm strength that are very subjective if you don't like it. Those are attributes I wouldn't feel bad changing.

    Glad you like it!

            Yes sir... it works perfectly

The only problem is if you do make an edit inside the tabs, those numbers stick to every single player instead of resetting when you select a new one.

If I give Chris Davis 49 Home Runs and then click on Caleb Joseph he will also have 49 HR for the year

Contracts are also included, but the batch source for these are not the best. Some players are correct, while others are not. It's best to double check these and if you know of a better source for contracts that I can copy in bulk, it will really help.
              @TheGame:

I use Spotracs for contracts for all 3 major sports. They seem to be the best in keeping up with player contracts in my opinion: http://www.spotrac.com/mlb/

Another really good website to use is Cot's Baseball: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/
              NCAA- GO VOLS
              NBA- GO CELTICS
              MLB- GO BRAVES
              NFL- GO COWBOYS
              NHL- GO PREDATORS
              NASCAR- Chase Elliott
              MLS- LA Galaxy

RIP Pat Summitt: We will all miss you!

                  The calculator is working great!

Just some quick feedback for improvements for the future.

For the short season minors, you may want to adjust a formula somewhere as because the seasons are shorter it is resulting in low durability for those guys.

Also, on a side note, I'm not seeing Estevan Florial. Wilkerman Garcia was on the same team as him last year and his stats are there so it's not a team missing. It's no biggie, just letting you know about some missing data.

                  Thanks Man! This is awesome.

That's correct. Honestly, 2013 is hardly even factored for most players so if you wanted to make all your changes to 2013, you could. I still wouldn't save it though.

It'll take another big step to create a separate tab for inputting your own ratings. It's not a definite no, but it's a feature I'm not really interested in so it's hard for me to be super motivated to do it. [emoji23]

Another thing you may want to note is that if a player does not have a Batting side it will mess up the ratings. It appears it defaults to them as a lefty.

As i've come across guys without stats or batting side, is I take a guy with the same or closest level, (Usually Rookie league) and edit the Batting Hand in the player list and then plug in the minor league stats.

I do have a questions as to whether there's a way to determine individual pitch ratings by putting in the pitch information somewhere and allowing it to generate that?

I used Sportracs. But since they give you the total contract, you then have to create formulas to get the contract to the proper amount. So if the deal was signed in 2014, I'm having to subtract out an average salary for those years from 2017 to get the deal that remains for 2017 on.

I'd like something that just tells me salary for this year going forward and how much is left.

Estevan Florial may not have an MLB ID. If not, you should be able to go to the players tab and put in the MLB ID for him. Just look in the MLB ID column and see if one is there. Not at a pc for the next day or so, so I won't be able to update it on my end yet.

As for short seasons, I am subtracting out the lowest rated season from durability to account for this. So no one should be getting penalized for a short season.

The drawback is this helps some injury prone guys but then again, if a guy is usually an iron man but has a freak injury, this keeps his durability from going in the tank for one missed season. Let me know if you see a short season guy where this doesn't appear to be the case, and I'll see if there's a problem.

It's more that below Low A, the only play a season that's only about 70 games long. Those stats may need to be prorated out to match a 162 game season before the calculation.

A quick way and to look towards the future is to add a stat column that takes into account the length of the season and multiplies to reach 162 before determining durability. In the future if this was used for historical seasons or strike seasons it takes those into account.
