Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
That was a great set no one has touched it or anything close in terms of that era since.
And of course they aren't adding "custom franchise setup". You know better.Comment

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
Yeah, but I literally have no confidence in my abilites and would be scared that people would hate my work. I am not good with faces or equipment. Birthplaces will be easy. Ratings, I think I could do but it will still be a little difficult. I feel it would be better if I did it for my use and save people the displeasure of using a roster from a rookie roster maker who has never done anything advanced like that before.
(As far as hoping for custom franchise, not for the game itself)

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
When it comes to roster making though, I'm scared that even the most experienced roster makers like the ones here at Operation Sports will hate my work. Anyways I decided I will release it to the public once Knight's full version is released, and I get the full minors and renaming the John Doe portion done and when I learn how to release my work.
Also, is there a website where I can learn the opening day minor league rosters, or at least see a way to determine who might've been in the minor leagues at the beginning of the new season? Baseball Reference might be the best bet, but how would I determine every player who was in the minors at the beginning of the season. Thanks.Last edited by RocketsFan1993; 08-02-2016, 06:58 PM.Comment

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
I am in the process of creating a 2012 roster, and I was just wondering what team do you generally put a player on who was traded mid season?
Also, thank you for all the work you guys put into making realistic rosters. Keep up the great work!
Thanks

Also does anyone know how or if you can change your username, I didn't set mine and I don't want people thinking I'm 15 because of the 2001

Like you said....BR is probably your best bet.....I'd say go to the season menu.....then to the team and you'll have to check the game logs for each player and see when they played their first game. Not the most exact(I think it's only if they actually played that it's listed)....but you'll get close.
....and nobody from here on O.S. that creates rosters will knock you down for you efforts. This is pretty supportive group of guys here in the roster section.

Majority of games played if it's a significantly larger number for one team.
If it's close...whoever they started with.
Baseball reference will list the teams in order for that season that they played for when you click on the player name to see season stats. It will also list number of games played for each and the season total.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
Yeah, I was just curious to see what experienced roster creators did (this is my first attempt at creating a full roster). But I did decide to just put them on whatever team they started the season on, it just makes more sense to me.Comment

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
I believe that is my 1994 roster that's been "ported"(Phil has done a ton of work to it....and the original port was him actually editing the set by hand with two monitors!)....and I was thinking of skipping '95 and going into my own time machine a bit and re-doing my 2000 set from a few years ago.
If they don't add in custom franchise setup for '17....I think next year will be a greatest team set.

You should definitely go with 2000 one of my favorite yearsComment

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
Yes....it will be 2000.
Watching Piazza get inducted got me thinking in that direction.
Working on the California Angels right now on the 1985 set.
I'll then do the White Sox and give you guys a post season version.
