Once again, my favorite part is going through and looking at all the little details you’ve added, tinkering with things and just playing around looking at all the appearances and quirks of the players. Part of me wants to play with a fictional roster myself just for the fun of it, because nothing quite gets the creative juices flowing like your rosters, but at the same time I have no need to mess with perfection hahahaha

I don’t know how 1st baseman, Dick Rider, made it on to my team but I most certainly won’t be using him! He must have been part of the auto draft that I did after I manually picked the first 30+ players

Wait until you guys run in to the 99 rated “switch pitcher”.

For 3 innings in my spring training game today I thought there was a glitch with the lineups because none of my guys were batting in the proper handedness against the pitcher. I was disoriented and disjointed trying of figure out what was wrong with the game and even thought the rosters may have glitched the game. I don’t take drugs but this was a crazy trip man.

I actually did list his name and then changed the post to exclude it so others would be surprised. He’s a starting pitcher so I’m guessing, eventually everyone will encounter him

The only reason I mentioned Mr Rider is because he’s so low rated that most wont encounter him, unless he ends up on their roster, like he did me.

Would like to see someone put up a fantasy draft of this set on YouTube. I enjoy watching drafts on YouTube, but I just enjoy this roster more than the real players, and there’s none of these out there.

Bacon's Fictional Roster

After playing around in my normal Rangers franchise I felt like something was missing especially with the MLB season this year and me not exactly having a connection to our new home stadium.

I’ve been wanting to play as a NL team for awhile as I don’t have any connections to them and don’t ever get to see their stadiums so I picked the Pirates and wanted something different and these rosters seem perfect. Pirates have a good farm system and a below average team which is what I was wanting. Plus I don’t have to have 30 team control on as I don’t care what the CPU really does so thank you Bacon!

I have been using my own fictional roster for 4 years now. I didn't make it from scratch, I took a 1991 roster from the vault and changed the names and numbers of every single player, as well as appearances of the 50 or so biggest stars, the McGwires (I renamed him Rocky Massey--face palm) and Bondses (Franchise Monroe--double face palm) and whatnot, so they weren't as recognizable. I used a random name generator to get all the names and used an old set of D&D dice to randomize all the hair styles/facial hair/pants styles/etc.

It was fun, but it was kind of shallow too. There weren't as many teams in '91 so about 40% of the minor leagues were populated with 0-attribute guys literally named Joe Pitcher, Joe Catcher, etc. Over 8 seasons most of these guys were replaced by incoming draft picks, but the league was still top heavy with a lot of unbalanced players below.

Bottom line, I'm really looking forward to starting over and using Bacon's fictional rosters. I will be bringing a few of the legacy players from my old league along for the ride (like Rip Garrison, i.e. Kirby Puckett, and Boomer Knox, i.e. Kent Hrbek--yes, I'm a Twins fan.) I just hope that we are able to transfer saves on '20 onto the PS5 next year so I can keep the party going.

Brewers aren’t a bad choice. Flash Miller is my favorite player. They have some decent bats.
