Hey sports fans, I am new here to operation sports but I am and have been an avid sports gamer my entire life. I have started a franchise in the show 20 with bacon's fictional roster. I have been blogging it on the dynasty tab on my page. I am playing every game and taking my franchise very seriously as I am excited to test my GM and playing skills. I haven't posted any stats and have just been blogging because I think people will get more entertainment on how I am going to rebuild and what I'm thinking instead of just stats. I could sure use any feedback from people who are as passionate about the show as I am on what you would like to hear about and if I should start posting stats or which things everybody would like to read about. Feel free to comment and discuss things on my blog and even question my philosophy or my moves and we can have a healthy debate about my franchise or sports in general. Thanks again Bacon for the rosters and I'm having a blast playing and writing about my experiences.

I've played OOTP for years and I've ALWAYS played exclusively fictional - both players and teams. For whatever reason the MLB style game has never appealed to me, as I like to use imagination and build up my own created world's.

Similarly, I've never really gone deep into a franchise with The Show (maybe one to two seasons, compared to OOTP franchises that have lasted 20+ seasons).. and I think a lot of that has to do with not really being that into MLB style games.

Now the ability to rebrand teams AND this fictional roster, is a game changer. I'm having a blast setting up my league and in the meantime I've been playing exhibition games with this roster and loving it! The players all have such ... character and depth to them and you can really tell a lot of work went into this.

I had been planning to use Crimsons IBU roster for my franchise as I'd prefer one with no stats on the premise of it being a brand new league starting.. but it seems that may not be ready for a while and I'm going to be itching to go once I get all 30 teams made.

I've also really grown attached to some of the players in this roster set (Homer Webster FTW.. love hitting with him and can't seem to get him out pitching against him).

Thank you for this bacon! I've played The Show for years but have honestly never been this excited for it.

I do have some questions though...

The previous player stats ... Are those simply current MLB players stats used for these fictional players? Ie. You just took the stats of an existing star player to create the base for your stars in this, so you'll be able to look at the career stats and tell who it used to be ? Or were the stats actually generated by simulated in game results ? Or a combination?

Also when I play exhibition games I'm seeing a lot of players have the info pop up of "Acquired by free agency in 2016" .. is that a bug, or does it just so happen the way the roster was set up that's accurate?

With rebranded teams I'm using the custom minor league parks, which have lower attendance capacities. I don't know enough about the inner workings of The Show finances but .. do you think that will create a budgetary issue, with less attendance income ?

Jesus!!! Im so anxious to start on this for the first time ever!!

I'm working on creating fictional 30 teams and have spents 4 days on just 9 teams, making the uniforms as most realistic as possible!

The teams I have so far:

Austin Outlaws
Louisianna Pelicans
Denver Dinos
Louisville Chiefs
Milwaukee Mustangs
Seattle Owls
Las Vegas 51s
Phoenix Coyotes
Minnesota Bisons

I'm doing the same thing, I've spent over a week creating teams(about 25+hours) and last night finally finish the 30th. Tonight I will do a fantasy draft, and dive into franchise!

When you start a new franchise just hit R1 and the menu will pop up about creating a new team. You don't have to create teams to use the roster though. I have a Padres franchise using the roster and a fully fictionalized franchise going where I replaced all the teams. It's your world! You can change all, some or none of the teams.

Bacon's Fictional Roster 2020 is already in the roster vault but that won't stop me from making more players for next year's version! I'll be uploading CAPs for new players throughout the year to the player vault for you to download and add to your rosters. Search my PSN: cwebs96 to find these new creations and more.

This is such incredible work, bacon.

I decided on a MIA franchise to match my Madden MIA one without knowing how your MLBTS 20 Marlins looked. They look like pretty good contenders!

I'm blown away by the level of attention to detail all the way through the 90 man roster for each team, with the wide variety of player types, the stellar work on equipment and the aesthetic end, the overall balance of the roster's ratings, etc.

I wish you could be enticed to do this for Madden, but I digress...

Hey! I'm glad to hear you're excited. To answer your question, it is a combination. For guys with service, it's about 90%/10%. I simmed stats for most and then the rest were real guys who retired or fell off.

And for the second question, I'm not really sure. I haven't heard anything from anyone who has done it so I don't know. This is something I will actually test because it seems to be a popular question atm.

I’ve been really impressed with the amount of under the hood tinkering you did with the created roster from last year. Obviously still striving for perfection! The uniforms and gear are looking fantastic. I can tell stances and motions were looked at because Trav Berry’s off season adjustments to his stance have got me flailing at the plate in a good way. Cheers!

Yupp! I work on it nearly every day. There are changes to faces, entirely new players, edited stances and player movement that I set in motion well before the new game releases. It's a big project that I truly am trying to perfect!
