Bacon,

I noticed there are some generic players down in the minors simply named New Pitcher or New Fielder and ratings of 1.

I am curious if you planned on updating these for franchise play.

If not.....I will go through each one and randomly name them and set attributes.

This will take some time so sit tight everyone. I want this to be a 90 man set and Bacon has done a ton of the heavy lifting.

These are all career minor leaguers and range from 4-7 per each team that need to be edited, new faces etc.

The only issue I have with making it a full 90-man roster is that a ton of the older players will retire prematurely. The new pitcher/fielder players are currently in the roster to limit how many of the players I made will retire. They're also there because those were the base players that I used to remove any real player in the game.

I'm currently working on a v2...most new pitcher/fielder players are being replaced with A potential prospects. That being said, any A potential prospects on the original roster have become B prospects (or lower) because they are generic minor leaguers developed by SDS. This will make future years of the roster better looking long term.

Very cool. I did not even think of the early retirement issue.

I will await V2 and then import the additional Fictional Movie players onto them.

Yep doing the same.

Once V2 is ready I am going to add the fictional baseball movie caps to it and upload it as a version 2.5 Expanded Fictional Baseball Movie Edition.

All credit to Bacon of course.

This is going to be a fun file. I have no clue what team I am going to pick. So many cool players on each one.

I am also adding full monty player walk ups with SOTS. All the parks are done.....but all these players will need walk up songs. That will really make it authentic.

That was the plan!

As for the update, v2 will be pushed back ~1 week. I'll make another post on here before I upload it and expect that around June 8-9.

Sorry for anyone who was really looking forward to v2...I've just been too busy to sit down and create more guys up to the standard that I keep.

I will now confirm that Bacon's Fictional Roster v2 will be uploaded to the roster vault on June 15! It will be uploaded tomorrow morning around 10 Central Time.

This update includes 2 A prospects (one position player and one pitcher) for each MLB team for a grand total of 60 new prospects. Any player that was added has replaced a 'New Pitcher' or 'New Fielder' generic player that is used in all my rosters to prevent premature retirement for veterans. There are still plenty of these left so we don't need to worry about this becoming an issue in Franchise/RTTS. I also removed any A potential prospects from v1 as they were just randomized base minor leaguers from the original SCEA roster. The positions of the prospects I added were picked to fill needs at the major league level for their respective teams. Each player ranges between 19 and 24 years old and is between 56 and 66 overall. Go ahead and check them out!

Thanks for putting this together. I know how much work this is and I have played your v1 roster and was very impressed.
Based on your latest roster, are these now playable for long term franchise play? Will we see proper call ups and roster trades based on team needs? Only asking because I am really hoping for a solid fictional roster to play long term multi year franchise (carry over to MLB Show 18, etc.).

Hello, thanks for the DL.

This set should be good to go for franchise use. Retirements should only be new fielder/pitcher and I've made it so there are less A potential prospects which should make less 90+ players too early into a franchise. I haven't witnessed anything else that was too different from what I would expect in a franchise.
