What's crazy is that a lot of them were lesser known minor leaguers who had anywhere from 3 to 9 year deals.

Still a great roster base to work from, and add whatever tweaks you want for your franchise enjoyment.

There were probably 10 or 15 real MLB players whose contract lengths were off. Salvador Perez certainly comes to mind. The other thing I did using Cots contracts website was add the option years to top players I'd assume whose options will be be picked up. Chris Sale comes to mind, but there were certainly quite a few of them.

    I didn't touch any $$$$ though.

I just finished up editing ALL contract lengths, NOT $$$, to match real life. (courtesy of Cotts contracts).

Next up: Filling out each teams full 40-man roster. In those cases where teams have player(s) on the 60-day DL, I will be putting those players on the 40-man roster and dropping off the lowest rated (Overall) player from the 40-man.

After that: editing pitcher staminas. All CP with 25 stam, All RP with staminas between 20 & 45 and all SP with staminas between 60 and 95.

Lastly, I am going to edit some minor league position players around so each teams depth charts are more balanced. For example, same # of 2B, SS, 3B etc.
What PSN name will this be under?

This is definitely the kind of roster I’ve been waiting for! Once this releases I think I’m finally going to start a franchise with Mike Lowe’s sliders. I’m just not sure which middle of the road team that I want to use yet.

The in-laws are in town this week, which means they can have kid duty, and I'll have tons of free time to wrap up this project. Goal is to be done by Friday night, so though it's difficult, please be patient.

By no means am I taking any credit - w/o Ridin and the teams initial efforts, I wouldn't be in the position to do this piece of it. I am happy to share it with y'all in the vault once I am done, but I am really just doing this so I can start my franchise. BTW - Mike Lowe's sliders all the way - his YouTube videos are the best.

          So quick recap.....

          1. Accurate contract lengths for all 90 players for each of the 30-teams. No $$$$ values will be edited

          2. All SP staminas between 60 and 95, all RP staminas between 15-45 and all CP @ 25

          3. All 40- man 100% accurate as of this week. Those players on the 60-day D.L. will be placed on the 40-man, and if that puts a team over 40, then I will take the lowest overall rated player from the 40-man.

          4. no ratings or pitch-type changes

          5. I will be making position player changes (mostly to minor league players) so each team has even positional depth across the board. For example, 5 2B, 5 SS, 5 3B etc.

          6. I will not be moving players around (MLB, AAA, AA and A ball). Once a franchise starts, they'll get moved around so it's a waste of time to do that now.

          7. no transaction updates (post 2.0 release). How Ridin released them is how I am keeping them.

The work Ridin does is amazing. But I can’t thank you enough for adding to it. Take your time. I’m looking forward to using this version of the roster. Go Cards!

I'll be finished with the 40-man rosters tonight!

Next up, are editing positions so each team has equal depth chart position distribution.

I'm thinking I'll be done before Friday night

What do you mean by, "all over the place"?

The one thing I don't want to mess with are player ratings.
They're are 1 or 2 sets (hybrids) that have/are doing that.
A project like that is way over my head, because I just want to start my franchise.

I might be doing scaled contracts (real salaries but cut in half to match the total $ of default contracts). Was hoping to use someone's 40man version though so I only needed to work on the salaries, but I might end up biting the bullet and doing both.

No idea if scaled contracts works for you at all, but figured it would be better than default contracts in your mind.

I just wrapped up the 40-man.

Give me two more days and I'll have everything else that I listed in a post above.

Burning the midnight oil as its nearly 2am in Austin, but dammit - I want to start my franchise.

For what it is worth, I loved your previous scaled contracts roster. I would definitely use OSFM 2.0 with scaled contracts.
Overall satisfaction also makes the decline!!!!!!!!!!!!

How would you handle the minor league player's salaries? Have them all be at 80K, 100K etc?

For the minor leaguers, I leave them as is. My main objective for the scaled contracts is to get the higher paid guys all in line with what they make in real life so that you get the albatross contracts (Heyward, Tulo, Pujols, etc.) and the steals (Sale, Rizzo, Eaton, etc.) to actually be a part of any franchise mode you do. But at the same time, avoid any possible issues with using real life contracts.

I usually only adjust guys making $1 million or more. That does enough to put all the team's budgets in line with what the game has with default contracts, while also minimizing any negative effects on morale.

Do you have a V2 40-man roster that you can upload, that doesn't have any other changes made to it? I'm looking for a V2 roster where the only thing changed was the 40-man rosters. If anyone has one of those, let me know. No other edits please!

And thanks Hootie, I'm sure I'll eventually get this done. I got busy with work and didn't get most of my franchises started, and now my procrastination has paid off with the release of V2!

I wrapped up the 40-man portion last night. No other changed made other than I went with one CP per team and moved the others to RP. Reasoning - I have always had success in the past doing it that way.

I can upload that to the vault tonight if you are cool with the CP changes.
