Thank you guys for all that you have done to get these rosters out! The only way to play franchise is with these! Question though, when I DL them last night there was a the V1 then a V1.2 just wondering what the difference was between the two, thanks!

There’s also a 1.3, and about to be a 1.4, they’re for corrections. Duplicate players and stuff like that.

Can someone explain the benefits of using one of the edited 40-man rosters instead of the default OSFM 25-man roster?Comment

Such an amazing job. Big thanks from everyone in the UK 😁
Is it worth me waiting for OSFM sliders to be completed or should I just crack on with a franchise using 1.3? Not sure how long it usually takes for sliders to be released....Comment

It really depends on how much work you want to put into your franchise and how accurate you want your franchise to be. If you use the 40-man you need to use 30-team control and move the players on the 40-man but not on the 25-man down to the minor leagues at the end of spring training manually.Comment

Michael Ynoa was released by the White Sox in the middle of March, but he needs replaced on the Sox in your set.
Edit: Also, KC released Ricky Nolasco and he's still on them in your set.Last edited by ItAllFades; 04-02-2018, 06:52 AM.Comment

I believe Brewers #5 prospect Luis Ortiz is missing. I of course can add him from last years rosters, I just wanted people to know if they were interested. Thanks again for the great roster!!Green Bay Packers

The computer used to only promote players based upon need (someone got injured and they needed a replacement at that position) but I have noticed in 18 they do promote some for performance as well. (Someone had a bad month so they demote them and promote someone who had a good month.)Comment

Re: OSFM 2018 “Opening Day Version” Available Now
Greetings, total newbie here.Haven't tackled Franchise yet, right now I just play RTTS and when I heard about OSFM I decided to restart a couple of my RTTS players using the more realistic rosters.
I'm a bit confused about what version I should use. I don't need perfection, I just want more realistic minor leaguers to play with and against in AA/AAA and to progress with me to the majors over time.
I think I need a 40-man roster for this, but again there seem to be multiple variants. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
And thank you to all the people who worked so hard on this. I've been a volunteer on many "labor of love" projects and I know how much work it is, and you should know that it is appreciated.Comment

I obviously will work with my own team on injured players and 40 man decisions.

Re: OSFM 2018 “Opening Day Version” Available Now
I'm not sure yet. The cpu will add people to the 40-man in cases of need (injuries/trade replacements) if they only have a 25-man and use the best rated players when they do so. But if you wanna see the players in A right away in your season then use a 40-man and the CPU will use those players right from the start of the season as the CPU resets it's lineups using the best players on the 40-man at the start of a season.Comment
