You can't, the game just assigns those based upon some secret Sony formula involving Overall, Rookie Status, Potential and such.

So to partially answer my own question, I think you need 40 man for RTTS. I just did a test and 25 man worked but the 40 man roster was incomplete for the entire first year. I am not sure what that affects.

It doesn't affect too much aside from the game adding people to the 40-man when someone needs to be replaced for injury/trade instead of using someone already on the 40-man first.

They didn't assign them, the game assigned them to players on the roster using whatever SONY formula is programmed in the game to assign them.

Question. If I start my franchise with version 1 as is, what happens to the injured players that are in A ball? Will they eventually get called up? Or just sit in A ball for the season?

Okay so I don't need the 40 man? I was planning to just wait for Ridin's V1.5 tonight and then hoping someone would make a 40-man version.

I'm not lazy and would do this myself but I have literally never used any of this (only bought my first version of The Show 3 months ago) so I'm fairly clueless at the moment.

I'm remaking two RTTS players, one of which was already remade, so I don't want to do it any more times. My concern was that the AI would act "weird" having open space on the 40-man for most of the season.

They will be called up if a player on Double-A gets injury, and then called up again if a player on Triple-A gets injury, and the same thing for MLB

New rosters will be talked about and released for the next 3-4 months. It just depends on how much detail you want.

My advice is to start with 1.5 and don’t read anymore about any rosters. Just enjoy your franchise.

Once you get totally bored (or finished) you can come back into the roster forum and download the newest most detailed roster and start a new franchise.

To be honest with the slow progression of franchise mode I think the above tactics could keep you happy playing 2018 until 2020 comes out.

Thank god for Far Cry 5. I decided to start FC5 first before I dive into baseball, so I was as patient as a nun waiting for OSFM because I has the perfect distraction. Same now with waiting for 1.5 and whatever other versions that follow, I can wait for what I consider to be the perfect version of rosters to be released before I dive into franchise thanks to the distraction that is Hope County.

Hey Ridin I found a few things for you that slipped thru the cracks for whenever you release your next update(or for anyone who is doing their own editing).....

-Corelle Prime is on the Rangers(not sure he is signed with them after the Rox released him)
-Bruce Caldwell is on the Yankees he should be on St.Louis(unless he was released and signed)
-Michael Ynoa White Sox to FA
-Matt West Tigers to FA
-Ricky Nolasco KC to FA
-Jon Niese TEX to FA
-There are 2 Shane Opitz on MIL
-Joe Palumbo on TEX has service time and he should not
-Chasen Bradford(SEA) and Tyler Pill(ARI) both should have service time
-Frank Duncan is on the Dodgers. He was released by Arizona last week(unless he signed with LA and I cant find it anywhere)
-2 Matt Skoles. One on the White Sox where he belongs and one in the FA pool
-Colten Brewer same as Skole(one on SD one in FA)

Steller job this year by you and your crew. These rosters get better each and every year.

Is it my imagination or do these 40-man roster versions really jack up lineups and batting orders when you start a franchise? I noticed in Ridin's V1.3 they seemed better, but one of the 40-man saves would have top prospects already in the lineup.
