I'm working on the American League now.

It takes 2 hours (sometimes a little bit more) for each team.

It's a long process, but the NL looks so much better now with every team's minor league system completely revamped, missing prospects from each clubs Top 30, and creating 2nd and 3rd round picks from the 2018 draft.

Just off the top of my head, the Rockies had two prospects (Roberto Ramos, Chad Spanberger) who are 23 and 22 years in age. Both were rated 54 overall with a low C potential.

Ramos is hitting .304 with 23 HR and 53 RBI in AA ball, and Spanberger is hitting .308 with 21 HR and 63 RBI in A ball.

I bumped Ramos up to a 65 and Spanberger up to a 63/64, increased their power ratings, and bumped up their potentials to a high C. Now they give the Rockies some quality depth, and more power bats in their organization.

I'm taking my time with this, because I want it to be as accurate as possible for when I start my Franchise and RTTS career. I'm not rushing through this, so it will probably be another 7-10 days until it's complete.

I'M NOT EDITING CONTRACTS, OR GOING AROUND PLAYER VAULTS LOOKING FOR 100% PERFECT MATCHING FACES. That's toooooo much work for one person, and I want to start my games just as much as the next guy.

    I love you

Re: OSFM 2018 “Opening Day Version” Available Now

Going to tackle a lot of the AL this weekend, since the kids are gone all weekend.

I uploaded the NATIONAL LEAGUE ONLY this morning, just so some of you can check it out and give feed back if you think it's necessary. (Bushido Roster)

I'll be going back through the roster when it's finished and start re-rating a lot of the pro players, and adjust their potentials as well. I want to make sure the batters ratings reflect their real life performance on the field this season.

      Example.

John Doe is batting .310 versus RHP, and .186 versus LHP. But the roster has him as a 70 vs RHP, and 76 vs LHP. I want to go in there and fix things like that.

Right now I'm just focusing on getting the minor leagues and prospects overhauled, still also doing re-rating to major league players, especially the pitchers.

A lot of overrated and underrated pitchers, due to decline/age, etc. Showing a lot of love to relief pitchers, that seem to go overlooked.

Reyes Moronta (SFG) was a 60 overall at 25 years of age in Ridin's roster. His stat line this season for the Giants.

      38 IP
      19 H
      1 HR
      20 BB
      44 K's
      1.89 ERA

That's just one example of a reliever (since the Giants were the last team I did) of someone who got a dramatic boost. I believe I bumped him up to a 76, and increased his potential, so he can continue to develop.

Really love your work man - much appreciated!

I think this definitely adds a new layer of realism to the OSFM community.

Can’t wait to play the finished product.

I've been running a "test" franchise to get my sliders ready. I'm going to wait until you finish this roster Bushido before I begin my real one with the Indians because this is outstanding stuff! It's going to be worth the wait, and I can't thank you enough for the time you're putting into this for all of us to enjoy! Thanks again!

Re: OSFM 2018 “Opening Day Version” Available Now

I finished the AL East today.

I worked on it from 7:30 AM all the way until 4:30 pm.

My team is in the NL, but the Yankees bullpen is absolutely loaded. Even their relief pitching prospects in the minors are ridiculous.

I think they have (after re-adjusting based on performance) 5 relief pitcher that are 80+. They would have had 6, but Tommy Kahnle was a huge bust in the first half of the season. His velocity plummeted, and the Yankees optioned him to AAA. So based on that, I knocked him down from an 84 to a 78, but raised his potential just so he has a chance to regain his previous OV based on performance.

They have some dominant relief pitchers in the minors too, guys who can't crack the majors because of guys like Green, Robertson, Chapman, Betances, Holder, Warren, etc.

Guys like Joe Harvey, Caleb Frare, and James Reeves should be a focal point for anyone who needs some young relief pitching help on the trade market when you start your franchise.

All three of those pitchers were rated in the 50's, but are now in the high 60's (68-69), and are 24-25.

Re: OSFM 2018 “Opening Day Version” Available Now

I'm going to dive back into editing today. My goal is to do two teams (at the minimum) per day, with 10 teams remaining, that puts an ETA of Saturday morning at the latest.

This is a 2.5/3 hour process per team, and again I stress, I'm in no need to rush this because I am OCD about prospect/farm systems. I want it to be as accurate as possible.

I'll leave this up to you guys, do you want me to create the 2018 international players (Top 10'ish..) and assign them to their teams? The signing period started on July 2nd.

(which means, I'll. have to edit a current minor leaguer/prospect, since all the creation slots are maxed out.)

Example : Diego Cartaya, the No.1 international prospect, signed with the Dodgers.

It's not really time consuming to do this, and I could knock it out in an hour after reading their scouting reports, etc.

A little confused. For Bushidos roster what username do I need to search? Or is it the same as Ridindwnkingsleys OSFM roster?

It would be cool but not necessary. Especially tough when MLBTS only allows 18 as the oldest age... Again want to thank you!

the file he's uploaded only has the national league done. in the title search options just type bushido - it will be easy to find. it's pretty highly rated as well, i think.

Quick question: When you guys say that prospects develop slow do you mean just guys in the minors where you’re not playing the games? Or do you also mean guys in the majors with A and B potential? I am in a trial period with the Rays as a franchise team cuz they have nice young A and B potential guys in the mlb. But I play all 162 games so if they develop slow then i should probably chose a team with more “ready talent.”

It means that for whatever reasons, prospects don't develop as quick as they should in the minor leagues in this game.

And because of that, your prospects and future draft picks, will develop at a snail pace.

That's one reason why I am re-doing the entire minor league system in this game.

That way that 2012 first round draft pick who is 22-23 now, that's batting .287 in AAA isn't going to be a 56 overall with zero chance of ever having an overall rating that should reflect a Major League player. He's now a 67-69, and when you call him up, he should be able to hold his own.

For whatever reason, players develop quicker once they're called up to the Majors. But I refuse to call up a 22 year old prospect who is a 56-62 overall, just because I want him to develop. That's what the minor leagues are for!!

Example, since I just started the Detroit Tigers. Matt Manning was the No.9 overall pick in the 2016 draft as an 18 year old pitcher. He is (as it stands before a re-rate) a 60 overall pitcher. His projected MLB debut year is 2020. If you sim two years, he'll probably be a 66, if you're lucky. I'm looking at his sheet now for 2018.

                            12 G, 12 GS
                            60.2 IP
                            48 H - 3 HR
                            30 BB
                            85 K's
                            .217 AVG versus Batters

That's not a 60 overall. That production + his potential, will get him a boost, so that he is indeed ready for 2020, and will probably get a late season call up in 2019 when rosters expand.

So I am literally going through every players milb.com profile, looking at their production, their scouting report, and their draft slot (potential) - although as in cases throughout EVERY sport - players will underperform and overperform their draft slot - so I adjust to that as well.

You will like the Rays, if you want a young team with some exciting prospects. After doing this project, I know I am definitely going to use them as my Franchise team. They have some nice looking prospects at SS, SP, and OF. I just wish we had the option of building our own stadium, because Tropicana Field is an eye sore.

Word of advice, you will need to re-rate 80-90% of every teams draft picks, just so that they don't get left behind. I was doing that anyways, before I decided to do this. I only do the first 3 rounds, that way the college pitcher who was the No.1 overall, will be a low 70, rather than a 58-60 (which I've seen more than once)

Just finished the Indians. Kind of surprised that they're 49-41 with the talent that they have after looking through things. I see that the bullpen has been a sore spot, and some guys aren't matching their offensive output from 2017 also.

                            8 more teams to go

Awesome write up! Do you have any suggestions on edits to make to the MLBTS draft picks? Or is it on case to case basis
