Great roster set as always. I always download hybrid rosters every year.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I put my pitch edits into the hybrid roster this year. I got some questions in my thread wondering if their was a roster out there with my edits and I don't think anyone used them so I wanted to put them in a roster for others to try.

I want to give full credit to the Hybrid creators. I only added my pitch edits and nothing else.

Since there are MPH limits on pitches, I had to get creative with some pitchers. If I couldn't get the correct MPH for certain pitches, I would substitute another. For example, Michael Kopech throws his Change up at 90 MPH but the highest you can get it when you edit is 84MPH. So I gave him a Splitter because I can get it to 90 MPH and it has the same movement. Zach Burdi throws his Circle Change at 92 MPH so I gave him a 2 Seamer as his Change up. Some players I gave a 4 Seam instead of a Running Fastball so they could have the correct MPH.

Also wanted to say that another poster was nice enough to add my pitch edits to the Hybrid roster set and he also added Jros22's speed edits and real contracts. That file is by MikeJ2324 under OS Roster Mashup.

Thanks man. It's just such a time consuming process and to do it multiple times a season is kind of pointless, we want to play the game. Ratings don't change much because it's based on sample size, with the exception of some breakouts/rookies. Plus it's almost Madden time, along with some other games which really puts a dent into MLBTS time lol.

If nothing else, we will have an updated transaction roster down the line, which I've been keeping up, even if we don't adjust ratings.

No rationale required, I’m sure you lost track of the hours to make it all happen. I put a bit of a premium on aesthetics, so equip edits tend to be my jam. I’ll start lobbying for you and csura to join forces next year!

Hey all, just wanted to drop in and give a little update. Patsen29 and I had discussions about running an update to the calc for 2018 stats up to this month. With his incredible expertise, our calc was updated and we have agreed upon doing rating edits to the top/bottom players based on changes in OPS, compiling a list of the top and bottom 50.

So here's the gameplan, I plan on getting the edits in over the next few days, as well as importing the newest SCEA additions from this Friday's update. All transactions will be up to date through release. Contracts will remain at default. There will be no 2018 draftees included. I will include my pdf file of 60 day DL guys with their replacements.

My question for the community, do you want the roster with transactions through this weekend before the trade deadline, or would you rather have a post deadline roster? I know some of you prefer pre-deadline so I thought I'd ask.

I'm planning this to be the last update for MLBTS18, so chime in and let us know!

I don't plan on an excel file. I've already made some edits and that would be a lot of additional work. Sorry man.

Ohtani will remain a SP in our roster. Regarding managers, they are tied to roster bases so the only way to get any new ones added would be to start over with the most recent SCEA update and that isn't happening.

Shohei's position before the latest SCEA update was SP, they changed it in their roster but it is impossible to do so in any other roster. There's no way to change him from a pitcher to a position player or vice versa. Plus with him as a SP he has his full pitch repertoire and you can pinch hit him for the DH in game. If he's a RF in game then he loses his pitch repertoire, I tried this with the latest live update. I brought him in to pinch hit for the pitcher and left him in the game, he only had a fastball and changeup so it's better to use him as a SP.

I am pretty sure he is in the player vault as a RF, You can download him and add him to the SP Ohtani in your roster, but that would be for starting a new franchise.

There is actually a workaround for this. All you have to do is download the newest update then start a new franchise by selecting saved roster and you can use any roster Hybrid, OSFM, etc....... and the new managers will show up.

It doesn't apply to existing franchises obviously.

Hey all, for anyone interested, I'll be posting v2 at some point today/tonight, along with my 60 man pdf file. Will most likely be tonight, as I want to get today's transactions in.
