Re: CRP Roster 2019
That is the only way to do it unless they added a new function, in previous versions you could never directly import a roster from the previous version you had to always import it in franchise as a already started franchise then export the players and then reimport them on a new roster it would be nice addition though if they made it possible to simply let us load in rosters made in 18 in 19.Comment

Re: CRP Roster 2019
I added all the top 30 prospects and some up and comers. some overkill and probably will need to adjust to fill AA and AAA rosters. So some of the lower ranked ranked ones can probably be jettisoned since they're years away. Figured better to peel back than to addComment

What they truly need is a import team option that would save time as well. and I mean HOURS of time. madden used to have that option years ago.
and I have been asking for years a import player option in franchise, but it always never happens, that would be handy so we don't have to always try and be 100% accurate every release. so if we forgot a player anyone could just import them into their franchise if they already started it.Comment

Re: CRP Roster 2019
I've read up to date every post in Ridins, hybrids and this thread. On the board reading every day typically around release times a d then back for occasional tips and community gems..
To the point: Bbybomber28 is working on imports. (The importing process is what I'm confused on)
WHAT I KNOW : I know you can take a player from a chise export him to a vault player save.
- and you can import over a ScEa player in chise. I remember getting a few last year maybe or 17' roughned odor & Garrett
- can you actually import players into a roster file from main menus?
- lastly what type players are the main focus of being apart imported group?
I was thinking about doing my own personal project for the community. As well as potentially pitching in on this just needing understanding of the process better.
Really wish scea would adapt to 2k editing as it is for most part laser quick and you can edit nearly all essentials without even going into individual player menus.

Re: CRP Roster 2019
Just to be clear, I was making these spreadsheets for my personal use and how I was planning on editing the OSFM roster for my franchise. Obviously with the news that OSFM may not be coming out for a while and CRP acting as a sort of place holder I figured I might as well send them to you guys to see if it would speed up your process at all and if it didn’t I already had them done and sending them to Niner was no extra work on my part. Hopefully they help in some way and I assume they will as it will at least be a base to work off of and saves someone work in some regard.
That being said, they are based on how I personally like to play the game and would be editing whatever roster comes out into my own file. Below are some of the things that I tend to prefer that I know others don’t and are a bit different than how the base these rosters sometimes are.
Injuries – I don’t really find myself using opening day sets or sticking to that as I like to kind of create my own universe. So as far as injured players go and those that may start the season on the IL, they’re not all in Single A in the spreadsheets. I didn’t really use a firm cut-off on who went on the 25 man or Single A and it was mostly just feel and how I wanted the roster to look. But a June return is probably a good idea of who’s not “injured” and who is. (Off the top of my head guys like Didi and Ohtani are both on 25 Man in those spreadsheets while guys like McCullers and Manaea are in Single A.)
Prospects – I tend to prefer actual prospects to random minor league fillers that will never even have a chance at playing in the MLB. Because of that most teams Single A teams are mainly teenagers that are far from being called up.
Roster Construction – Partly because of what I mentioned above on prospects but also because of the AIs lack of roster management I tend to build the rosters pretty similar for all teams. I’ve found in the past that a lot of roster seems to carry a bunch of excess catchers who play no purpose in the overall scheme of the organization in real life and given the 65 Player Minor Leagues limit fill no purpose in the game to me. That being said, every AAA AA level has 2 catchers on the roster. I don’t recall there being all that many but obviously if there are prospect catchers that aren’t currently playing at those levels they’d be in Single A. Similarly, to catchers, I’ve noticed either an excess of 1B in some organizations or a lack of useable first basemen. So same thing as above every AAA AA level has 2 1B listed.
Currentness – I’ve been doing these whenever I had time for the past week/10 days and obviously moves have been made since I started that. I haven’t yet gone back and re-checked any team since I originally did them so some things are sure to have changed and I'm sure theyre are some mistakes in them as I haven't double checked any team yet.
Like I said, I know a lot of people don’t enjoy playing this way and would rather have the random Minor League Fillers over the teenagers which I totally get and was usually the way OSFM operated. These were just for my personal use but because of the news with OSFM and what not I figured I might as well contribute them and hopefully they help.Comment

I didnt ask the questions I wanted to ask correctly. I'm just trying to understand something.

Yes you can import a player into the rosters on the main menu. so the idea is to have a carry over save from 18 to 19. so that we can export players from that 18 roster into 19... doing so saves hours upon hours of work with faces. if we were not able to do this we would have to re create every single face again from scratch.. that could mean taking videos from 18 and putting them into 19 takes about 30 mins per player that way!!!
The Vets that will be missing from 19 (and hopefully most are exportable not always) are the time consuming parts. because we have to sim to get correct service time. rename the player and those faces have to be done from scratch. last year we had 3 baltimore players that were on the 25 man roster that were missing from the game and they actually shouldn't have been because they played in mlb 17! so let's prey that 19 isn't missing as much players this year because 18 was the worst default roster I have ever seen on MLB the showComment

Does anyone know if batting stance creator will be back in this yrs game ? It’s because it’ll drastically help improve each player’s batting stance and be more realistic as well.

Re: CRP Roster 2019
Just some advice. I have worked with player re-rates in the past. Mostly offline with a few friends. Used strictly for Franchise and offline.
One thing that must be addressed is the rating for the created players being added to the game. There has to be a floor and ceiling for players at a certain level or the computer management system in Franchise doesn’t operate properly.
For example, Biggio was created as a 65 in AA last season. The computer called him up because he was next man up on the Jays depth chart. Skipped 3 AAA players to do so. A friend of mine was in contact with SDS last year about ratings. Its important to know that the ratings are based in todays mentality and not tomorrow. As if they were in the Majors. It doesnt look at future progression or Potential A, B, C, D. Thats part of the players progression. The actual rating is if they played in the MLB right now.
With that said... this is what we used last season
A Ball - Rating 0-54
AA Ball - Rating 55-61
AAA Ball - Rating 61-
This way the computer knows not to call up a kid from A ball rated 67 with potential A at the age of 19.
To answer any obvious questions, No that does not effect their rating increase.
SDS explained it like this.. “If you called up an A ball player to the Majors... how many A ball players could honestly hit MLB pitching... Probably None.”..... Thats why you cant have them at 65.
Not a fan of NHL 19 lately but thats a perfect example. OHL players max out at a certain number regardless of the future A Elite status. Hope this helps.
