    Re: Full Minors 19 Redux

I imported all the 1st round picks from OSFM Draft Rosters to your roster, along with the Top 3 International FA's.

Going to try to add as many of the missing 186 top prospects next, no ETA, because I'm not as young as you guys, and have children, a job, need sleep, etc (lol)

Absolutely! And even better is that a lot of the top prospects are in AA and AAA so if these are used for RTTS those players won't just disappear.

Do you know if the pitch edits I input for STL and ChC were used on the final roster? I remember you saying you weren’t sure if they saved or not. Reason I ask is because I noticed 1 minor issue last night during a Wainwright start. His 2seam was averaging 95-96mph when it usually is between 89-92( roughly). I wish I could say he was just a little amped up for his 1st start but that’s not the case The rest of his pitches looked fine but this was one thing I noticed. Other pitchers I have used so far are Mikolas, Miller, Hicks, and Gant, haven’t noticed anything weird with those guys.

Right Matt, his 2seamer is 90.03 mph...should be 62 on slider scale... I was probably going x-eyed at that point editing.

As I did like 1000+ edits for TruSim I appreciate that statement 😂

I appreciate all the hard work you guys put in and I understand it’s very time consuming. In no way were my comments meant to be a slight to this amazing roster. I just wasn’t sure if my inputs were used for ChC and STL and was worried I might have messed up somewhere along the way. This roster is playing great so far! Great work all!

                      Re: Full Minors 19 Redux

Just had a chance to start today, so far I have finished the D-Backs and the Nationals.

I plan on doing 2 teams per day, and possibly more on the weekends. It's a time consuming project double checking every player in the big leagues, on top of correcting every minor leaguer, and adding as many of the missing Top 30 prospects as I can fit.

I'm also doing rating adjustments, positing switches, etc.

Example : Ketel Marte was still listed as a 2B, with a 76 OV, and C potential. He has played CF for the majority of the season in 2019. I moved him to CF as a result.

Also, Ketel Marte in 2019 is batting .293 with 20 HR's and 50 RBI's, and averaging a HR ever 14 AB. This is why I love international players, because you have no idea how they're going to fill out once they get introduced to a modern day S&C program with top of the line nutritionists. They don't have the benefits that American players have when it comes to that.

His wRC+ has jumped by over 20+ points, mainly due to a power surge. Through his development into a standout center fielder, his already-successful defense has managed to improve, too. And yes, even his baserunning has gone from below league-average in 2018 to slightly above-average in 2019. Tying back into our rule of three theme, Marte has managed to improve himself in all three aspects of baseball. That has led to 3.1 WAR, which is tied for 19th in the majors.

I'm an accuracy fanatic, as daonlyjmo can tell you. So I take my time looking through all the data, to make sure the roster is as close to accurate as possible in regards to 2019.

Another reason I love doing this, is so I can see how the prospects are progressing. Not just the Top100 prospects, but mainly the international kids that you won't hear about for another 3-4 years. The Diamondbacks are loaded with some exciting international outfielders, that weren't included in the latest OSFM release.

                      Jorge Barrosa
                      Widerd Patino
                      Alvin Guzman

Patino has a lot of the same projections as Ronald Acuna Jr, for example. Patino was more highly regarded at the same age too. He projects to be a plus player across the board, who will hit for power and average.

Guzman was one of the fastest players in his class, clocking in at 6.6 in the 60 yard dash, and has a cannon for an arm, that will only get stronger.

Both of these kids will be Top 100 prospects in another year or two.

                            Finished Atlanta and Baltimore yesterday

Added Yeinier Cano to the Minnesota Twins, 6-5, 225 pitcher from Cuba who throws 96 mph consistently, with a plus changeup. He signed with the club yesterday. He was ranked the No.2 overall international prospect behind Victor Victor Mesa.

Updated ratings/potentials (+ and -) for a lot of the Braves pitchers, with Mike Soroka getting the most love.

Baltimore was a lot of fun too..

They're the team I'm going to use when all of this is finished. They have a surplus of SS prospects

Adam Hall 2nd round pick in 2017, is hitting .321 in A ball. Hit .358 during the second half of last season, including a 19 game hit streak. Projects to be a guy who hits for average, with plus speed, and solid defense. Has below average power, but still developing physically.

Cadyn Grenier was the 38'th overall pick in the 2018 draft. His niche is his defense, great defensively, strong arm, etc. His bat is still a work in progress. Grenier has a career as a defensive-minded utilityman ahead of him, with the upside of being a glove-first regular at shortstop.

Jean Carmona signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2016, only 19 years old, could grow into a 3B as he physically develops. Projects to hit for both power and average as he matures. Long term he might have the highest ceiling.

Mason McCoy was a 6th round pick in 2017, and is batting .350 on the season between A and AA ball. He was projected as a glove first utility player, but with the way he has been hitting the ball this season, he could be raising the ceiling of his potential.

Then they drafted Gunnar Henderson in the 2nd round, 6-3, 195 SS. Really like this kid, and he can do it all (Average, powers, defense, running, etc) Going to enjoy keeping up with his development.

Knocked out the Red Sox, Cubs, White Sox, and Reds

Lucas Giolito got a lot of love, going up from a 72 overall to an 88.

The White Sox bull-pen had a lot of risers too, through the majors and minors.

Pitcher adjustments, Alec Hansen and Carson Fulmer were moved from SP to RP, with their potentials taking a hit due to the move, issues with command, and lack of production.

Also was able to squeeze in the White Sox 2nd round pick Matthew Thompson into the roster set.

                              -------

Alfredo Rodriguez is the hottest prospect that no one is talking about in baseball outside of Cincinnati. Signed for $7 million dollars in 2016, and was considered the No.8 overall prospect on the International market. Has one of the best gloves at short stop in the minors, along with arm. His glove grades out at a 70 on the 20-80 scale, for comparison. Scouts didn't know how he would develop as a hitter, but agreed unanimously that his glove alone would be elite, and that would carry him to the league.

He batted .291 in April, .298 in May, and is batting .354 in June.

It's always fun to watch the prospects develop, especially the one's who you have no idea if their bat will come around to be a consistent big league tier bat.

Might knock out two more teams tonight, so far it's taking a little less than 2 hours per team.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but no one is talking about Alfredo Rodriguez because he isn't that hot of a prospect. Playing as an over-ager in AA, he's a glove first shortstop with little hit tool that seems to be getting very lucky in a small sample size. His BABIP is way higher this year compared to previous seasons, implying a high amount of luck on his batted balls. Most prospect ratings indicate him to be a utility player at best on a MLB roster.

Not saying he hasn't turned a corner or figured something out, but what he has done through the first half of the season is still the outlier compared to previous performance.
