Re: “Crazy” Amount of Trades
Just wanted to give some numbers to everyone who is complaining that there’s way to many trades in franchise.
Here’s the breakdown for trades in the real MLB in 2019:
March + April
15
May
15
June
14
July
70
That’s a total of 44 before July and 114 trades in 2019.
Here’s the breakdown from a simulation I just ran:
April
41
May
1
June
4
July
60
That’s a total of 46 before July and 106 total. Looks pretty spot on to me.
Everyone wants to talk about things being as sim as possible. Then when they do it you complain about it haha.
You’ve stated what people are talking about though. Look at April vs April. It’s not just the number of trades, it’s the number and the reason why. It’s not to get better, it’s rebalancing a slanted roster.

Like 12 top prospects traded every other day.Comment

Re: “Crazy” Amount of Trades
Yeah I've got the trade slider set to zero and all these trade come in one day. Unreal trades like the Twins trading SS Royce Lewis for 1B Josh Lester

Re: “Crazy” Amount of Trades
There's 20 trades in the span of 5 days. All prospects. This is the first time that this has ever happened. There's an unbalance in the default roster and it tries to balance itself. There's literally 12 catchers in the Orioles roster. Nobody wants that.Comment

Re: “Crazy” Amount of Trades
Whatever allows you not to play the game. You keep doing that haha. Nothing is ever going to be perfect. If there were no trades everyone would be complaining. Idc why it’s happening. If the CPU is trying to balance it’s rosters that’s fine with me because that’s what it should be doing. The amount of trades is totally realistic at the end of the year and I didn’t see anything that was totally absurd. Just because you think a prospect is top 10 doesn’t mean that origination does.Comment

Re: “Crazy” Amount of Trades
Test with roster I edited. Under my username tabarnes19. You will see a huge improvement with trades. I found a roster someone added the minor leaguers and made a few tweaks.
I'll probably look at ridin this weekend and then decide if I want to edit my own or not. I don't want too many a and b potential players. It forces retirements early.

Re: “Crazy” Amount of Trades
This isnt as close to sim as possible, and they didn't do this on purpose. It's because of the terrible default roster we got. Theres 12 catchers on the Orioles lmao. People want a realistic franchise, and having 20 prospects move to other teams in the span of 3 days isn't realistic.Comment

Re: “Crazy” Amount of Trades
You don't need to be condescending. It's an actual problem with the roster, "bro". The trade engine is compensating for a lack of balance in the default rosters and you can thank tabarnes19 for figuring this out. You might be fine with this problem but there's no need to chide people for pointing out a legitimate problem. And when I say legitimate, I mean that while Moncada, Lewis and Zimmerman might get traded, the game would not do that but for the faulty and unbalanced default rosters (again you can thank tabarnes19 for discovering this).
