It's funny because I always ask myself..."who the hell are these people who play card modes".

    Multiplayer in sports games suuuuuuuuuuuucks.

Honestly I don’t like DD either but I respect that THEY like what the like. I wish our mode could be respected too even if people don’t like it.

We have been fighting a losing battle for almost 8 years. We are the extreme minority now, and are mostly ignored and even ridiculed for our passion.

DING DING DING DING.....WE HAVE A WINNER!! Ninertravel is COMPLETELY RIGHT!

That's it in a nut shell. You spend $50-$60 every year and MOSTLY all you get is a few upgrades and a new roster.

NO THANKS I'll stick with my ps4 playing show 20 classic and college rosters.

If I sell fruit on the street corner and the choices are oranges vs. spoiled apples, people will get the oranges even if they'd rather have fresh apples. It would be silly to then conclude people like oranges more than apples. It's unmistakable that this is the marketing logic we're up against. It's not a losing battle anymore, the battle was lost a long time ago, which is why people scoff at the whole idea of franchise mode.

I think it was about 5-7 years ago when the developers decided to make in-game performance have a greater effect on ratings progression. This meant if you got hot with a player, then his ratings would go way up during the course of the season. A few people on this board were trying to explain the logical problem with this (creating a loop which would inevitably lead to boosted ratings b/c it's easier to hit once the ratings go up.) They explained that the challenge of franchise is using the pieces you have to try and win games by getting the best performance from all the players, not turning all of them into superstars. But the naysayers wanted all the player ratings to go up whenever they did something good on the field. Winning the game was no reward at all, and the developers gave them what they wanted.

Pretty much. Some of us enjoy realism and to be challenged yet we’re the weird ones.

Safe to assume this won’t be fixed? I know it’s an issue beyond just this year, but just wondering if I had missed some good news.
