Jackson Stephens was added last week (but with no face scan), but he didn't get stats either. Travis Demeritte also didn't get a face scan, but did get stats. I haven't noticed anyone else missing stats, but there's probably a few here and there. Weird oversight.

At this point I would be shocked if Cano ever gets approved. Probably has something to do with his 2nd PED Suspension. MLBPA is probably like "nah bro"

Highly doubtful. The fans are far more vindictive with this stuff than players.

Lorne already said has nothing to do with the PED thing. Im shocked he hasn't been added already usually mlbpa, sony can take up to 3 weeks. My opinion only but this is a player decision and like jordan, bonds, belichick era.

Re: Players missing in MLB 22 roster

I mean Tyler Thornburg just got added in the latest update, and he's been on the Braves roster since Opening Day. Robert Suarez is tied for the Padres lead in games pitched, and he's still not on the roster either. It's quite possible that the lockout backed some of this stuff up. Plus the fact that Cano wasn't with a team when rosters were updated (though he signed with the Padres later in the day).

Cano going to haunt this game as the player that never goes away but can’t be added

Beeks still being out sucks considering how important he is to the Rays pitching staff.

Maybe for the same reason Barry Bonds decided to opt out?

Barry Bonds opted out because he thought he could go get a lot more for his license negotiating on his own with baseball card and video game companies as opposed to being a part of the Union's licensing agreement. He was within 100 HR of Hank Aaron and coming off arguably the best statistical 3 year stretch in baseball history. He was unquestionably the best player in all of baseball.

Robinson Cano is a 39 year old coming off a year suspension who hasn't been an All-Star since 2017 and hasn't received an MVP vote since 2016. There's no way that he would withdraw from the MLBPA licensing thinking he could get more negotiating on his own, especially when that plan didn't really work for Bonds (the baseball card and video game companies just went on without Bonds).

That says literally nothing about Cano opting out though (and why would he, he's just giving up free money). It's very likely just delays because of the late start of the season. Same goes for the handful of the other guys still not in.

But if Cano has an ego like Bonds I could see if doing it even if it makes no sense to us.

Why isn't Bill Belichick in Madden? What does he have to gain by not being in? Seems like just an egotistical jerk move to me and we all know Barry was a major jerk, which is the main reason he has so little HOF support.
