Re: Ridin rosters?
I think it's gonna take awhile, because I believe one of the folk doing the faces for the roster is just now doing Atlanta.
I'm sorry man, but even us 2k folks don't take this long in finishing the roster and I consider The Show rosters the easiest of all sporting games when it comes to roster editing.
My honest feeling is that we get both the Ridin and Cycloniac rosters around the end of June.
Lemme know.
One team (of major league players, so roughly a 40 man roster) takes me 1.5-2 hours to do. 2.5-3 hours for the additional top 20-25 prospects.
Send me a PM if you wanna join the effort.
We'd love to have you I'm sure.
I think folks underestimate the time these projects take. On 2k, you're doing at a minimum 12-15 players. On The Show, at a minimum, you're doing 23 players a team.Comment

Re: Ridin rosters?
Baseball also has the most roster activity where guys are constantly changing teams or going to the IL, or guys getting claimed on waivers daily which makes it hard when you get close to releasing the final set.Comment

Re: Ridin rosters?
Yeah…I personally wish the roster teams would not do that… just creates more work to reset the to Opening Day… oh well.Texas Rangers/Chicago Cubs

Re: Ridin rosters?
When rosters are out, anyone gonna backdate to OD? At least the MLB rosters, not concerned with AAA being back to OD.

Re: Ridin rosters?
The way The Show handles rosters going into Franchise, it's almost a waste of time to worry about anything but the 40 man Roster. 26 man rosters, pitching rotations and lineups will all get reset anyway.Comment

Re: Ridin rosters?
If it's important for some people to have the rosters as close to Opening Day as possible, why not just start with the first roster (or best roster in the vault at the time of OD) and start a franchise from there?Comment

Re: Ridin rosters?
Im curious for ppl who use OD rosters. If say a reliever on a team has since been dfa'd and retired , do ya'll still run with them in season?Comment

Ridin rosters?
For me personally, because dont get all of the FAs FM team puts in the rosters.
I hate having fake FAs.

Re: Ridin rosters?
Yep. The point of MLB the Show is to start my own baseball sandbox from a realistic starting point. After OD, whatever happens in my league, happens in my league. While RL roster moves my give me ideas for improving my team, I have no desire for my game league to mimic RL in the particulars (though of course I very much want it to mimic real life in the general - league stats, injury frequency, etc.).Texas Rangers/Chicago Cubs
